DESCRIPTION:

 It doesn't get much better than being right on the water, located on a wide canal, and ½ block from the beach.
 With canal access, you have the possibility of bringing a boat right to the dock through Bimini Bay.
 Enjoy the large 16' x 30' private pool in a picturesque tropical landscape along with a 30' fishing/boat dock.
 Within walking distance of Pine Avenue, City Pier, Two Scoops, Waterfront Restaurant, Galati's Marina, and Island Ocean Star Restaurant.
 Enjoy dangling your feet off the dock, swimming in the pool, relaxing in the sunshine, and walking to dinner.

THE SPACE:

 Sunshine Cottage couldn't be a better name, because this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, cottage truly lets you experience the beauty of Anna Maria Island. Enjoy dangling your feet off the dock, swimming in the pool, relaxing in the sunshine, and walking to dinner. With canal access, you can navigate a boat right to the dock through Bimini Bay. There's no better way to unwind and forget all your troubles!
 5 adult Bicycles and 2 child bicycles are available to rent, as well as a 14' tandem ocean kayak to explore the canals and beach!
 Pool heating and chilling is available.

ACCESS:

The street address is 522 South Drive, Anna Maria, 34216 and keypad entry into Sunshine Cottage will be the primary means of access.

PARKING:

Parking is only available for two vehicles on the property. Only up to a small to compact size can be parked in the garage, and up to a full-size SUV in the driveway. If additional parking is required, a 10’ easement along either side of our street is available. Just don’t block anyone’s driveway, and make sure to park with tire off the street pavement to avoid a ticket from the City of Anna Maria.

BEACH & RECREATION:

For Beach use, we have eight Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrella, wheeled cooler, wagon, and beach towels.

Five adult bicycles and two teen bicycles is stored on the property and available to rent for $149 per week, or $39 per day, for all of them.

A Tandem Kayak and life vests are also stored on the property and available to rent for $189 per week, or $49 per day. Off site, golf carts, paddle boards, additional bikes/kayaks, and beach equipment can be rented thru Beach Bums, located at 427 Pine Avenue. (The owner’s golf cart is stored on the side of the property and is not available for rental).

Up to a 25' boat can be docked in the back canal. If you need to rent one, Just 4 Fun Rentals at 5358 Gulf Drive, can bring it right to the backyard dock and pick it up when you are finished. If you prefer a boat charter, Anna Maria Island Excursions is our favorite.

If you do not have fishing equipment, Pine Avenue Bait & Tackle has everything you will need. They are located behind the General Store, at 501 Pine Avenue.

POOL:

The pool wonderful but is extremely sensitive to chemical imbalance. Please make sure to utilize the outdoor shower, prior to use, and refrain from using spray-on sunscreens. Use lotions only, as the spray-on will wreak havoc with the pool’s chlorination and filtering system. The water fountain/feature of the pool is automatic and runs for 15 minutes at select hours. The Pool Chiller or Heater is available to keep the pool at 85 degrees for $20 per day. Please let us know, so we can program the unit ahead of your arrival.

SECURITY:

A NEST video security system monitors the exterior front, side, dock, and rear exterior of the property, and will send us an immediate notification for glass breakage. Recorded video will not be reviewed by the owner unless damage or theft is reported.

KITCHEN & BATH:

The house is fully furnished, with bedding, bath towels, and a washer-Dryer. The kitchen has pots, pans, plates, glasses, and utensils. We also have a standard K-Cup (Keurig) and Cuisinart Grind & Brew coffee makers.

Paper goods, bath, shampoo, soap, and kitchen garbage bags are not supplied. We ask each guest to leave behind enough for the next guest to start their stay. Publix, CVS, Walgreens, and the General Store on Pine Avenue are all located on the island for any purchases. Instacart is also available via Publix.

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE:

Also, please note that pool service is on Mondays and Fridays and should not take more than 15 minutes. Lawn maintenance is Thursday AM and should not take more than 30 minutes. Refuse pick-up is on Mondays and Thursdays, and Recycling pick-up is on Mondays. We ask that you place the receptacles by the street the evening prior.

CHECK OUT:

Check-out is by 10 AM on the day of your departure.

Please make sure to hang the bikes back up, alternating the handlebars, and lock the rear wheel. Also lock the kayak, with the lift in the highest position.
