In need of refurbishment

This hotel was probably a prime hotel not too many years ago but has not had any much needed refurbishment in recent years. No money appears to be spent with the decour rather dull and the fixtures and furnishings rather old. The gym was in a state of disrepair, the spa and sauna closed. Breakfast was acceptable but not particularly appertisng. I visited off season when most of their business was from coach tours that arrived in the evening and left immediately after breakfast. The rooms were a good size, the fixtures, fittings and comfort of the bed let it down. The call to prayers at 6.a.m. from the building across the road every morning was deafening. This hotel was let down by the lack of upgrades. Despite all my negative comments it was exceptional value for the money i paid.

Otelin acilen yenilenmeye ihtiyaci var. Odalarda hijyen yok. Havlular çarşaflar lekeli saçlı,halıda sigara yanıkları kokuyu baskılamak için bol bol parfüm sıkılmış. Geçiş noktasi olarak kullanilabilir ama tatil için tercih edilemez. Fiyat performans demek isterdim ama otelin eskimiş olmasi hijyen için gerekçe olamaz. Resepsiyondakiler dışında personel güler yüzlü ve yardımcı idi.

We were due to stay here for 8 nights but on arriving we decided to leave the next day. We had 2 rooms, both had no working AC. After getting their repair man to fix them it made no difference. They just blew hot air. In fact in all the hotel areas no AC was working. The rooms were 28’C and by morning with the AC on full , they were still 28’C in the morning. The hotel was either saving money by not turning on the AC units or all of them were not working. The rooms also smelt of heavy smoke or mould. One of them had fungus on the ceiling. The bathrooms were really run down, had a shower and the water just built up and took ages to drain. The decor in the rooms looked like it hadn’t been updated for 5 years. The dinner and breakfast were very limited choice and poor. The dining hall was again outdated. We went around to see the pool which by the way is just one pool with a retractable roof. So the hotel is misleading customers by says they have an indoor and outdoor pool. Th Gym again was so hot with no AC, no one would use it. I had to be on the a call to Expedia for almost 2 hours for the hotel to refund the money for the 7 days stay , they were refusing to cancel. We finally got a refund , cost me around £140 on calls. I would never stay here again. Really was a horrible place to stay.
