The room we were given was not cleaned after previous guest, so we got assigned new room. The new room was fine. Only one elevator of two was working, and it was extremely slow. Building is ongoing renovation. It was very hot in the room. Location was good and central. Bed was comfortable.

Facilities in room were fine with decent bathroom and curtains on dorm beds. Given linen at check in so need to make your own bed. Some people in the dorm didn't bother putting pillow case and duvet cover on so unsure how clean beds can be. Shared a dorm with 3 men which didn't feel very nice as a solo female. Terrible snorers and awful coughing meant I didn't sleep well. Very noisy location through the night with ambulances and shouting. Not really any common areas to sit during the day.

Incredible location - across the street from centraal station and within 5 minutes walking of another major bus stop (both are perfect for day trips to places like Bruges, Ghent, etc.) staff is great. Very cute piano in the breakfast area that I enjoyed playing every day. Very much a no-frills European hotel room. Small, but very serviceable. I felt safe and relaxed there.
