This Property has a whole house water filtration system! The "Blue Moon Cottage" at the Blue Moon Inn is a family favorite now and for generations to come. The largest of the rentals at Blue Moon Inn this 3 Bedrooms and 2 baths Cottage is a wonderful getaway for two or may accommodate up to eight guests with its spacious layout.! Note: nightly rate based on 2 person occupancy and additional fees per person apply for more than 2 people.

The Cottage features Your Own Personal Front Porch complete with Rockers, Shaded by Palms and Cooled by the Breezes from the Famous Apalachicola Bay. The first-floor suite has a queen bed, bath with the original clawfoot soaking tub/shower and antique vanity. Living and Dining areas on the first floor along with a full kitchen. The second floor has a small gathering area with a trundle (2 single beds) One bedroom has a King bed and last bedroom has a Queen bed. The famous "water closet" may be the smallest bath in Apalachicola, but does offer a walk-in shower.
From the moment you step on to the Front Porch and glance down to the waterfront docks, you can feel the connection with Apalachicola (The local Native word meaning gathering place of 'Friendly People'). The Home has 12 foot Ceilings built with timbers from the famous Bay Cypress in the late 1800's.
This Wonderful House was the Original Home of the George Family from the turn of the Century (Circa 1900 - 2010).

We loved our three night stay! It was in the perfect location, and the home was very accommodating. The laundry is inconvenient, though. It is only open from 9am to 8pm— during the time when we wanted to be out on the town and not waiting on machines. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again. We recommend!

The cottage was very accessible/accommodating and absolutely LOVED the location. The area was perfect for walking with dogs. Beth was excellent to work with & so friendly. We only wish was that the king bed had been downstairs. We definitely recommend Blue Moon Cottage to anyone that is considering a trip to Apalach.

For our family ,appalachicola is perfect for first leg of annual florida trip. . . 4-days . . .then 6 in Anna Maria orSt Pete to catch spring training . Blue Moon did not dissapoint..Love the town ,merchants,terrific food and surrounding activities..Will definitely return to your town and property.You feel instantly at home in the Blue Moon.

Wonderful area, terrible experience

Overall, this is a lovely historic house in wonderful condition. The beds, linens were very clean and comfortable. Downsides- the road construction is occurring right in front of the house and is very loud. All..day..long. I travel with my daughters and were met by the owner's husband who insisted on keeping the key in the lockbox. Totally inappropriate and unsafe for female travelers. Upon check-in, my 2nd daughter had decided to stay with us- last minute decision which garnered a rather hostile call from the manager for the additional payment. Not a problem from my side since we all know that travel plans can change. But it was stated very clearly that they typically host 'senior citizen couples'. As a 60 year old female traveler with my daughter- I felt very unwelcome. No easy access to bring luggage in except though the pea gravel yard. Sidewalk to parking is inaccessible. There is only one entrance to the home.There's also a roach problem in the house- we killed 3 during our stay. It all was enough for us to depart a day early. Sorry, I cannot recommend. Never have been treated so poorly before- I am an educated working professional and certainly didn't deserve the attitude.

Retirees' Retreat

We loved staying in the Blue Moon. It was in the perfect location to walk around and explore Apalachicola. The quick drive to St. George Island State Park provided us with a lovely beach experience, which, of course, included lunch at the Blue Parrot. We loved the fun decor and the porch swing was definitely a plus. Very clean and charming. Only request would be a Keurig coffee maker, however they did provide filters and coffee for the coffee maker they had. Highly recommend this little jewel.

Expansive + Great Location

The property is in a great location, and is an easy walk or bike to most of the things to do in Apalachicola. The house is much larger than it appears on the outside, and can comfortably house a larger party like ours. It is very well equipped and stocked, and the host is very communicative. Will definitely look to stay here again next time we're in the area.

Perfect for our Wedding Weekend

We came to Apalachicola for our daughters wedding. Blue Moon was in the center of downtown. The space in the house and yard made us feel a little secluded which was nice and quiet. We walked everywhere! I was shocked at how perfect everything was. I highly recommend booking here for your next stay in Apalach.

Family time

The house was very charming and had character, The location was terrific. During our stay it was unusually cold weather for the area and the heating system could not keep up, but that is understandable, (The cold front was hitting a large portion of the country,) The kitchen had ample supply of cookware and dishes, Beds were comfortable and clean, Having access to the cute outdoor area was nice, Just wish it had been warmer outside so we could have enjoyed that space, Mother nature didn't cooperate. Would stay there again and recommend to others,

Beautiful home!

First time staying at Blue Moon and we will be back! Beautiful home located a few steps from all the restaurants and shops. We highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting to visit the area. Dealing with the owners was easy, prompt and courteous. We were also lucky enough to meet the amazing Rover, the owners four legged baby.
