You don't need another weekend away. You need one that changes how Monday feels.

The best kind of rest does not look like escape. It looks like returning to yourself. That is why we built this.

We're Dennis and Lacy. We've been coming to Asheville for over twenty years. We fell in love with this place when we lived in Charlotte and have been drawn back ever since. Eventually, coming back to other people's spaces was not enough. So we built our own.

What we built in Haus 43 is specific. A studio for two. One space. One loft bed. Designed to quiet everything down and give you and the person next to you a reason to be completely present. Not a standard rental with a bedroom and a living room. A single, intentional space built around stillness.

We're based in Texas right now. Our co-hosts Matt and Bruna take care of the property day to day and will treat you like family from the moment you reach out. We're relocating to North Carolina in the next couple of years, not to live on the property, but close enough to be part of it. We're building Restore Haus to be the kind of place we would want to stay ourselves. A place where real things happen.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND WHEN YOU ARRIVE:

Rooted in nature. Raised in intention.

That is the principle behind every decision in this home, from the furniture to the products on the shelf to what is waiting outside. We designed this space for the person who needs to reconnect deeply, restore what has been running low, and return home sharper. Everything here is in service of that.

• Coffee from Penny Cup, one of our favorite West Asheville roasters. A drip maker is provided. Leave it running and step outside with a cup before anyone else is moving.
• Plant-based bath and body products throughout the home.
• A kitchenette stocked with everything you need for a quiet morning in. Mini-fridge, two-burner cooktop, microwave with oven and air fryer functions, and full cookware. For everything else, West Asheville restaurants are minutes away.
• A wood pellet Traeger grill on the property for when you want a proper outdoor cook. It grills, smokes, and bakes. The kind of meal that fills the whole property with wood smoke and makes staying in feel like the right call.
• High-speed Spectrum WiFi, 1 Gbps. More than enough to work from here if the week follows you. Built for the entrepreneur who needs to stay connected to what matters and also needs a real reason to close the laptop.
• A curated set of board games and cards. Chosen specifically for two people who come here to be present with each other again. Step away from the screen. That is what this place is for.
• Your dog is as welcome here as you are. We provide a leash, food and water bowls, toys, treats, and a dog bed. Asheville is one of the most dog-friendly cities in the country and there is no better place to bring them along.
• Flashlights available near the kitchen window for evening walks through the nine acres.

INSIDE:

Haus 43 is a Scandinavian studio built for two.

Open plan. Soft textures. Clean lines throughout. Floor-to-ceiling windows face the trees from every angle, and the light through them shifts all day in a way you will notice.

The sleeping area is a loft-style queen bed with blackout curtains, elevated above the living space below. Quiet. Private. The kind of rest that actually feels like rest.

The sitting area has comfortable sofas, a smart TV, and a sound system for when you want them. The bathroom is modern with a rain shower and clean finishes throughout.

We furnished the home with pieces from Poly and Bark and Article. Chosen because they feel the way this place should feel, calm, considered, and intentional. The mattresses and linens hold that same standard. We wanted the physical experience of being here to match what we had in mind when we built it. Minimal. Warm. Nothing that does not belong.

OUTSIDE:

Step outside and the nine acres open up around you.

A wood pellet Traeger grill is on the property for a real outdoor cook. It grills, smokes, and bakes. The kind of meal that fills the whole property with wood smoke and turns an evening outside into something worth remembering.

Private hot tub under the tree canopy. Fire pit with firewood already split and stacked before you arrive.

When was the last time you looked up and counted hundreds of stars? Out here, far enough from the city that the sky actually opens up, that is what a clear night in the hot tub looks like. It stays with you long after you leave.

You rest now. You come back sharper.

Nine forested acres with a natural spring at the base of the land. Walk to the top of the property after dark. From up there, the entire Asheville skyline comes alive. City lights against dark mountains, forest all around you, silence in between. It is one of those views that makes the whole thing make sense. Nature and the city, both at once, exactly where you are standing.

Relax amounts the trees

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was so wonderful! Love the design and layout of the house! Very upscale and modern! It’s located up on the side of the property but you should not need 4 wheel drive to get there. A hot tub was a welcome surprise as it was not mentioned originally on VRBO and the host Mathew was great! He left dog treats for our pup and flowers and wine as an anniversary gift. The property is very private and he has another tiny home rental a little further up the drive. Overall I would highly recommend this cute Tiny house! (And honestly it doesn’t feel tiny at all!!) ❤️
