Absolutely the most helpful front desk staff, providing helpful advice for visiting Aspen, especially on a budget. Our room for up to 5 people was large and well maintained. This hotel has been around since 1970, and has a classic older hotel appearance but is well maintained. I would have given 5 stars if the bed was more comfortable. Sheets were older and yellowed, but clean. Pillows seemed old as well. We really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for friendly, less expensive accommodations in Aspen. The road is noisy, didn’t bother us. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of less than a half mile from most attractions, restaurants and stores.

Nice, very clean, updated vintage property. Location was ideal! Aspen is very walkable but having free bus transportation was great, especially after a day of hiking! The staff was personable and informative about all that is available in the area! Would definitely stay here again!

Friendly person at front desk. Very clean, spacious room. Great central location. It is important to understand that “lower floor” means the room is halfway underground. Large window in room, so we adjusted quickly.

The property is in a quiet and safe area, not too far of a walk from the main dining and shopping areas of town. The property is a pretty run down but does the job. The younger guy at the front desk was fantastic and incredibly helpful with suggestions for eating and drinking and also offered help with our bags.
