Charming Cottage in Private Lake Community (Pet-Friendly!)

Tucked away in the private Sleepy Hollow Lake Community, White Bunny Cottage will quickly feel like your home away from home. Just a 20 minute drive to Hudson, 10 minutes from the quaint village of Athens, and under 45 minutes to Windham, Hunter, and Catamount. Dotted with friendly rural towns and panoramic scenery, the Northeast Catskills has no shortage of activities for all interests.

1200 Sq Ft. Ranch style cottage nestled on its very private and secluded half acre. Easy access to Sleepy Hollow Lake and the Hudson River Boat launch. A 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom house that can comfortably accommodate seven adults with 3 bedrooms; 2 queen beds, 1 twin bed, and a sleeper couch with a full bed. There are 2 full bathrooms and a laundry room.

The open floor concept is perfect for entertaining and relaxing alike. A fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with a full freezer is perfect for cooking (or reheating leftovers!) along with plenty of cabinet space for snacks. The living room has a gas fireplace to relax with a good book or glass of wine! Walk out onto the outdoor deck with a patio table and propane grill. Relax by the fire pit surrounded by nature.

The home is equipped with high-speed internet, a large wall mounted smart TV, family board games and central heating/cooling controlled by a Nest thermostat. We want you to leave your stay relaxed, recharged, and ready to come back!

Guests will have access to the full house and yard, as well as all community amenities. There is a closet in the laundry room containing the hosts’ personal belongings, which will be locked.

Dogs are welcome for a non-refundable pet fee of $100. We ask that they do not spend time on the furniture or beds. Please note, the yard is NOT fenced in and surrounded by woods and brush which inhabit various wildlife, you will want to keep your pets on a leash. Kindly clean up after your pets with the provided poop baggies.

We had a wonderful stay at The Bunny Cottage! We stayed about 9 days while our apartment was being renovated & we couldn’t have been more comfortable. The house itself is very nicely decorated, sunlight streams throughout & it was immaculate. Gabrielle & Lisa seem to have anticipated anything their guests might require & that alone made settling in easy. Checking in & communications with the hosts was also easy & added to our enjoyment of our time there. We know the community the house is located in having stayed there several times in the past. There are many wooded areas we passed as we walked our dog and he especially appreciated the deer & rabbits that passed by our windows & on the streets. And even though the house is located within the Sleepy Hollow Lake community, the neighboring towns (Athens, Catskill, etc) for shopping, dining, hiking, etc are close by. We can’t wait to go back!

Our hosts were super-welcoming and helpful, checking in just the right amount. Everything was easy to find and the home had all the things to make our stay cozy and comfortable. The area is lovely, and the town had some very nice dining options. Close to Hudson as well, so plenty to do, even in the colder time of the year. Highly recommend.

Perfect for Holiday Get Together

Cozy family time

I went to the bunny cottage with my daughter and my mom and our dog. We spent a weekend in December and had a great time. We really enjoyed the house, which is well-appointed and very comfortable for hanging out and relaxing. We went to Hudson for lunch and some shopping, and had dinner at Stewart Inn in Athens! We enjoyed the gas fireplace, which made the living room cozy for watching a Christmas movie all together. The hosts are very responsive and kind. This was a great stay! We'd love to come back during the nice weather.

The White Bunny Cottage is a charming place. It is beautifully decorated and spotless! We enjoyed making dinner and using the tableware and baskets. Perfect for entertaining family. Family wedding.
