Beautiful building and rooms. Great staff. Valet parking was as quick and efficient as any I've ever experienced. The bar and restaurant were packed in the evening so I assume they are great (I didn't have the opportunity to use them.) The problem is with other items that create inconvenience for the customer. The rooms have no closet or wardrobe for hanging clothes - just a bar and it's over the cabinet with the mini fridge so any dresses would not hang freely. Also there is no drawer space for clothes so you have to live out of your suitcase for clean and dirty clothes. Also, there's no ice maker on the floor; you have to go to the front desk to get it. And the shower was too small - about 3-3.5 feet square. Very frustrating because they could have added about 10-15 square feet to each room and easily addressed these issues. Lastly, the back rooms are literally 30 feet from the railroad track and the train comes by 3-4 times during the night. These things hold it back from being a truly excellent place to stay.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Rivet House! Just a short ride to downtown Athens and UGA. The room was clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly and super helpful. We look forward to staying the next time we are in town.

Very clean/nice size rooms. The elevator is unbearably slow and noisy. Didn't find the stairs until last day unfortunately. Also the way they have the valet set up is backwards. The regular parking is a hike and all of the valet parking is right by the hotel. Seems like the valet guys should be running to get the valet cars (like at most places) and the regular parking would be closer to the hotel. Guessing they are wanting to encourage people to pay the $25/daily valet fee. Housekeeping didn't clean our room so had to call and wait on towels/coffee/etc. Had been very excited to try out this hotel but it was a bit disappointing.

Beware, active railroad tracks 15’ from hotel!

Beautiful unique industrial style hotel 3 miles from Stegman Coliseum . Staff were great, nice restaurant and bar. Unfortunately, the only thing I’ll remember is the railroad tracks and trains literally 15 minutes from our room and ran all night! Won’t be going back.

I loved the room the building. The interior design was so desirable, the layout was spacious and was comfortable. The dining and bar were perfect for a dinner and drinks. The staff on bar and the concierge were so kind, engaging, and professional. The only downside of my stay was the parking accommodations. The valet service was professional, however the requirement for this service seemed unnecessary for the area. Overall a wonderful experience that I look forward to next time I’m in Athens and will recommend to others when heading to the area.
