Seaside villa with private swimming pool and fabulous view to the Aegean sea

The house is situated right at the sea front only few meters above the sea level and has access to the beach. Right in front of the house there is the large seawater swimming pool, 20x10m and 4 meters at its deepest. The swimming pool area is fitted with all necessary facilities including umbrellas, furniture, shower, changing room etc.

It is a 2 level country house of 120 sqm area, that was built in the early 20th century and fully restored to the present condition. It is has been built out of stone and wood which makes it pittoresque. It is at an isolated location perfect to relax.

In the house there are 3 bedrooms. The first and the second bedroom have a double bed each. The third bedroom has two single beds. There is even a sofa bed at the living room. There are two bathrooms one on the upper level with a bathtub and the other on the lower level with a shower. The lower level has a living room and a fully equipped kitchen (oven, refrigerators, microwave, washing machine) which leads off the dinning area.

At the upper level there is one secluded balcony with open sea view. On the other side there is one secluded patio with an outdoor barbecue. There is also a large private outdoor pergola on the house at the front with unlimited sea view and it is ideal for dinning.

The house is fitted with Satellite TV, basic furniture, linen, towels etc ready for use.
There is even tennis court at the garden.

It takes less than 15 minutes to walk to the Ancient Temple of Poseidon, in Sounio.
The house is about 40 minutes away from the center of Athens, by car and about 20 minutes away from the Athens Airport.

The Pool is Available ONLY during the periods 25th of May until 15th of October each year

We spent two weeks at this beautifully positioned villa and absolutely loved it. The place was just as photographed but even better in person. Most of our time was spent around the pool which was great for swimming lengths and for mucking about and having fun. Getting down to the sea is so easy from the house and provides great opportunity to see the sea life such as Turtles and Octopus.Our hosts were kind and attentive, we really appreciated their warm welcome and hospitality.We were very impressed with the inside and outside of the house and the great views including the opportunity to see the sunrise. For our day trip to Athens it was an easy, though long, drive to Sygrou Avenue where we were able to park easily in the underground car park aligned with the metro station. Thank you to our hosts for that recommendation. The Temple of Poseidon restaurant (with views) is worth a visit even if the temple is not on the cards. We had visited the Parthenon so we were able to get close to the Temple of Poseidon but did not want to visit this time around. We also visited one of the local restaurants within walking distance and had a tasty evening meal.We had two perfect weeks of sunshine and relaxation. Would definitely stay again and completely recommend it for a restful break in a beautiful part of the world.

Gorgeous Views!

The house was very clean and the views were stunning! We liked the quiet and non crowded location. The kids enjoyed the deep salt water pool and diving board … we were very happy the bedrooms had good AC -as it was very hot during our stay. The house is very charming. Perfect Location

The location is on the ocean with a large pool and wonderful house. The view is spectacular. The trip time to the airport was about 40 minutes, making it a great spot for the initial or final days of vacation. The owner communicates quickly, and the on-site caretaker is always there to help. There is a security gate. We'll be back.

Paradise!

The home looks exactly as you see in the photos. Excellent location and view. 10 minute drive to Lavrio for nice restaurants and shops. Prices at food stores and restaurants are very reasonable in this area of Greece. The owners were lovely and very easy to communicate with. The mattresses are a bit uncomfortable but we got used to them as our stay went on. Outdoor shower and bathrooms were convenient with four adults staying in the house. Kitchen has all you need for simple breakfasts and lunch. Washing machine was a nice plus. Took advantage of the incredible view and swam in the pool daily- used the steps to walk down to the sea also a few times. Had a great trip!

Amazing villa

We had a fantastic 5 days here. The view is incredible, and the outside space is really amazing. The pool is huge and lovely. Everything was clean and comfortable. There are several restaurants nearby and the supermarket is about a 10 minute drive. Very nice welcome basket of goodies. We would definitely recommend this property.

Fantastic Holiday

Wonderful villa with the great views & pool. A few minutes walk from a good taverna, not cheap but great quality. A short drive or 30 minutes walk to the Poseidon Temple. 10 minutes drive to the town of Laurium, with good supermarkets and a large selection of restaurants. Almost one and a half hour drive into the centre of Athens with busy traffic. One long day was enough for us to see the main sights, so we then stayed local. Great holiday thanks to the wonderful villa and attention from the caretakers.

Beautiful Views, private acces to small beach.

The villa was in a lovely location, with beautiful views across the sea, and the pool was the best pool we've ever had at a villa, maintained daily by the caretaker. There was also on site access to a small beach area where we snorkeled. The hosts are friendly and attentive. We stayed for 7 days and really had a lovely reset. Thank you !

Absolutely perfect!

Such an amazing place! We had the best 10 days here, it was the perfect place to relax & recharge. The pool was huge and fantastic, the kids absolutely loved it. The house was just right with everything you could need, air con in the bedrooms was a fab. Location was great, super easy to get to from Athens airport and close to some fantastic restaurants and amenities as well as some brilliant beaches (although really easy access to the sea from the villa itself!) Hosts were fab, really helpful and easy communication. Just the perfect place for the perfect holiday!

Fantastic holiday

The initial sight of the villa and grounds along with the sea view is breathtaking. Marina and Andrios, caretakers, were there to greet us and show us around. Communication with the owner is fantastic. The villa is lovely inside, all bedrooms have air conditioning and a well equipped kitchen. Plus there is a large built in barbecue and pizza oven at the rear, which was fantastic. We spent most of our time outside. There is a large covered patio area plus a first floor balcony, both with tables and gorgeous views of the sea. The pool is huge and has it's own changing rooms and toilets, along with tables and chairs, umbrellas and sunbeds. There is a wonderful sea breeze which helps to keep you cool. When we fancied a change of scene we made our way down some steps to the sea. There is a hard standing area with sunshades and chairs with metal steps to the sea for the local houses to use. We had great fun snorkeling and swimming, plus looking up at our fantastic villa. We bought swim shoes as there are sea urchins. We had an absolutely amazing holiday, best holiday ever, we loved it. So worth the 2 year delay from covid, I can't praise it enough.

Beyond amazing!!!

I could have cried real tears when we had to leave. It was my favorite place we stayed in Greece. I would often stay awake at night looking out the window at the moon glistening over the water. Truly breathtaking! Everything was perfect at the house and we felt well taken care of.

Easy drive, relaxing and fun stay

My husband and I brought our four kids (6-12) for a five day vacation in the midst of our European tour, and it was perfect. My kids’ reaction to the pool (and my husbands and mine to the view) were worth the cost alone. We relaxed and enjoyed ourselves so much and two of my kids only got out of the pool because of a thunderstorm otherwise were in it from sun up to down. I enjoyed snorkeling in the clear Aegean every day. Kind caretakers, excellent communication/rapid replies from the owner, and although the house is somewhat rustic, it is meticulously cared for and spotless. A super easy 45 minute drive from the airport (no super narrow roads and not too many twists and turns). 5 mins from Poseidons temple and a little over an hour into Athens to see the acropolis and other sites. We would return in a heartbeat.

Rustic villa with fabulous outdoors space

The villa is quite rudimentary but this is more than made up for by the outdoor space which provides privacy and lots of room to enjoy the sunshine including a huge salt water swimming pool. The location is also fantastic with uninterrupted views out to sea, a taverna in walking distance and full range of shops etc. just a few minutes drive away. The owners are also super helpful, they responded positively to every query or enquiry both before and during our stay, they really made us feel welcome. Word of warning on the tennis court, it is actually just a fenced area of hard standing with a net, it’s fine for a knock up but there are no lines and the area is much to small for a court so don’t expect to be able to play a game. Overall a good value villa - super place to enjoy the beautiful climate

Wonderful pool

The highlight of this villa is the fantastic swimming pool and outdoor area. Very clean water, pool large enough for proper swimming and playing. Great location on the coast with steps down to the sea. Villa was clean and facilities good. Local taverna was easily walkable, bakery a few minutes drive. We had a really good family holiday.

Family holiday in Greece

The villa has a great location: easy access from the airport and still in the countryside with its tranquility and seafront location. In the neighborhood we dined at many excellent restaurants . The unique and the world famous Temple of Poseidon is just 5 minutes drive from the villa. We drove to Athens to make some shopping and visit museums and the route was easy and took just a little ovet an hour. Thr owner was very helpful and answered immediately to us. The villa was dashing with a world-class swmming pool. We have rented villas in the Mediterranian but never had a pool like this !

Amazing Villa

Amazing Villa highly recommended. Just recently experienced perfect family vacation at Villa Sunio. House with private pool is located on the cliff with magnificent panoramic sea view. Villa’s main advantage is huge swimming pool 20x10m with sea water, outside showers, WC and even changing rooms. House is cozy and comfortable for 5 people, equipped with all necessary for comfortable living. But we have spent almost all the time outside enjoying sea view or swimming in the pool. Sea is easily accessible from the territory by the staircase. No sand beach, but coast territory is private with minimum people and equipped with all necessary, like benches, shower and even snorkeling equipment. Kind and polite staff lived in neighborhood and was always ready to assist. Villa is located in 1 hour ride from Athens and we managed to have 4 trips in 15 days. Also there is some memorable sightseeing in close distance, for example Poseidon temple, ancient Thorikos amphitheater or National Park. Currently whole family is experiencing pleasant nostalgia:) Honestly I’d strongly recommend Villa Sunio for families, who are looking for unforgettable vacation near Athens.
