A former 18th-century stable, renovated in 2006, situated on a 4-hectare property adjoining another gîte and the owners' residence, and close to another gîte. Ground floor: kitchen/living room accessible by two steps, bedroom 1 (one king-size bed and one single bed), bedroom 2 (one queen-size bed and one single bed), bathroom (bath and shower)/WC. Wi-Fi. Private 1000 m² garden, terrace (garden furniture, barbecue). Shared area reserved for gîte guests: lap pool (4x15m) open in July, August, and September, terraces, fruit trees. Hiking trails, cycle path, and river fishing nearby. Options:
End-of-stay cleaning: €40/stay; Bed linen rental (1 or 2 people): €10/bed/stay; Towel rental: €8/person/stay. (For the 180cm bed, please bring two 90cm fitted sheets).

Additional charges: Tourist tax, electric heating supplement: €10/day (payable on site).

From Fontenay le Comte, head towards La Rochelle. At the motorway roundabout, follow Marans, do not take the 1st right (Chaix/Auzay). Take the 2nd road towards Chaix. At the stop sign, go straight. At the Y junction, keep left and drive 2.5 km to the hamlet of Brillac: this is the penultimate house on the left (n°97). Coming from the A83, exit n° 8 then as above.
