Great location and friendly staff. The concierge staff we talked with were very young, very friendly, and not very knowledgeable about the neighborhood restaurants. They need more training from the hotel, and I'm sure they'll dial it in. But there's a risk in hiring young people who don't come from, or know very much about, Auckland.
Awesome accommodation right near the quay with the ferry terminal. The room was modern and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. This hotel was a great choice and we look forward to staying there again.
Convenient location across from the ferry terminal and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff were courteous an attentive. I love the filtered water station on every floor. Rooms were up-to-date and clean with motorized shades and a minibar. The only issue is there is no driveway in front of the hotel, so if you order an Uber or a taxi, or pulling up with a rental car to unload/load your bags, there is only a small space off the side of the road where you can do this. If it's occupied by a van, you're out of luck.
On arrival from the cruise dock, we expected to have to store our luggage till check in. Our room was already available, which was great. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bed was a bit too soft for my husband. This was rectified within hours of him mentioning it. The restaurant was great and staff throughout the property were courteous and helpful. Our only issue was the touch pad controlling lights, aircon and window blinds. Maybe our age was the problem, as we found ourselves raising the blinds when we intended to turn on a light.
Disabled room not fully accessible for multiple reasons. If you’re a wheelchair user DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL. The manager won’t listen and has no empathy. I have motor neurone disease and really struggled with this room. The sink too high for wheelchair user, deep incline into bathroom, toilet too low, bed too high, room carpeted and too small to manoeuvre wheelchair, hanging rails not wheelchair friendly. How this was passed as aDA compliant is a mystery.
