No.63 by Stay Waiheke
Summary:
Set high on the Onetangi hillside with sweeping views in every direction, No.63 is a completely rebuilt beach-style retreat offering total privacy, expansive decks, a 13-metre pool, and contemporary interiors filled with natural light. Surrounded by gardens, native plantings, and uninterrupted sea views, it’s a calm, elevated hideaway designed for relaxed island living.
The Space:
No.63 has been thoughtfully redesigned to make the most of its crow’s-nest position. The main living areas sit on the ground floor and open through ten large sliders to a wide, two-level deck overlooking the pool and the coastline below. With views stretching across the northern and western headlands, this is a home made for easy days outdoors, morning coffee on the window seats, long afternoons by the pool, and quiet evenings watching the light shift across the water.
Inside, the ground floor brings together a generous living room, a fully equipped luxury kitchen, and a dining area that flows naturally outdoors. Window seats are built into the main living zone, creating sunny corners to read or unwind throughout the day. The layout makes gathering simple and sociable, while still offering quiet spaces for guests wanting their own moment of calm.
There is one bedroom and bathroom on the main level. Upstairs, the master bedroom with ensuite opens to a private deck with far-reaching coastal views. The second upstairs bedroom has three single beds and sits beside a light-filled living area that also opens to the deck, creating a flexible family space.
The adjacent studio is connected by a bridge walkway and includes a queen bed, a single bed, and its own bathroom. A separate TV area with beanbags makes this an ideal zone for teenagers or additional guests. The grounds surrounding the home extend toward the western coastline, with lawns, garden paths, and plenty of room to sit outside or explore the property.
No.63 is designed to feel comfortable in every season, with warm natural materials, airy interiors, and easy outdoor living at the heart of the experience.
