Cute cabin on the lake
We were in the area for a funeral so just needed a place to sleep and unwind. Definitely small but served our needs - the driveway is extremely steep. If you have anyone in your party with mobility issues I would not recommend this property. Beds are very firm - couch was more comfortable! All in all it worked fine and was lovely to be on the water.

Great place. Exactly what we needed
This is a great place to stay. The pontoon was fun, and real close to food and beverages. Nice and peaceful.

Awesome couples getaway
Great place to kick back and relax, located on a very pretty lot on eau claire lake. There are large houses on either side but it still felt very private where we were. The fire pit was located just outside the cabin, there were string lights and an overhead light which lit the outdoors up and plenty of comfy chairs for a late night hangout. The sauna was a nice bonus hidden behind kind of a scary door but really clean and it worked great. We also took the canoe out for a paddle and caught a good size bass on our way back to the cabin. The place was stocked with what we needed, was clean and was plenty big for 4 people. The property manager was very responsive, friendly and accommodating.
The driveway is very steep we could get a van and compact car down but we were a little nervous. The property manager may be ok with you parking at the top of the hill and walking down which was easy for us. Not a whole lot for stores or shopping nearby but you can get the necessities
Read the property description and come with the right expectations and youll have a great time. I would have paid more for the stay and would stay again

Rustic
Too many lake flies and ticks for us. Tiny, tiny bathroom, basic amenities. Rustic and basic.

Cute, rustic cabin
It was what we expected, a fun little cabin, cute but not fancy, to stay in with our family of 4 for a couple of days. We enjoyed the lake for boating (used the canoe and brought 2 kayaks). We considered renting the pontoon but the weather was not cooperative for a day outing. There is a lot of algae in the lake so we did not swim at all. The arrangement of the cabin is efficient and has two sitting areas with views toward the lake through the woods.

Basic getaway
Nothing fancy here (hence the cost). Driveway is very steep (as stated) and not assessable. Beds not very comfortable (couch worked better for one of us. Bathroom very small (an overweight person would have a hard time in there. Pontoon was nice but didnt think we were going to make it back to dock on our second trip back from across the lake (perhaps a motor tuneup or fresh fuel is in order?) Overall we were satisfied.

everything a lake house should be!
it was a perfect northwoods experience! my g/f and I made the best of this beautiful little cottage and Eau claire river area. fishing by day, stargazing and campfire stories by night, the sauna hit the spot perfect, and the pontoon brought us to the fish! we can't wait to get back!

Overall great stay
Was a great 5 days! Only hiccup was that the lake was closed due to dangerous algae. So was unable to use pontoon that we were very excited to use but that’s no fault of the property and it’s managers. Place was great, found tons of other fun things to do and most importantly of all my son and fiancé had an awesome time.

Fireflies, campfires and frogs
We had a beautiful experience with family. The fireflies and frogs made for a magical experience. Every night we had a campfire with the family and enjoyed meals outside on the picnic table. We enjoyed the games for the children. We LOVED the screen porch - wish we could have slept out there! We will be back.

Gorgeous property for an unplugged, rustic retreat
Loved the lake access and rented the pontoon boat to maximize time on the lake. Canoe was fun to take out, too. Spent lots of time hanging in the shaded and peaceful yard, reading, playing guitar, eating meals and enjoying the fire pit. The cabin itself is as described - definitely rustic and could use some work but was a decent place to sleep. We cooked most meals on the grill - wish we had brought some sharp knives to cut meat, otherwise kitchen had the bare essentials. A nice getaway overall.

Make sure your phone is charged, or just avoid all together
Let me say we are in no way finicky travelers, however this cabin was not worth the headache. Make sure your phone is charged because you will be calling management A LOT
Day 1, arrived, attempted to use boat, didnt work, called management, they sent someone out who worked on the boat, and 2 hrs later we were on water, however twice the boat stalled, so we were grateful when we got it back to the dock.
Day 2 - it rained, no biggie so we thought we would use the sauna......big surprise it didnt work, let management know we were told to check the fuse box, which we did, still didnt work. Ok maybe we would watch some local TV or a movie, they have a DVD player, however no actual DVD's, and we couldn't even get local stations on the TV.
Day 3, tried boat in am, didnt work, tried boat in afternoon, got it to run for 15 min and we went for a ride, it stalled by the dam and were grateful that a good neighbor pulled us back in to the dock, called management, and they asked if we checked the oil....seriously!!!
Day 4 the toilet started to back up in the shower, we tried plunging the toilet, plunger didn't work so we went to gas station to borrow a plunger, still toilet not functioning properly, called management, we were told again to check fuse box, and that they would send someone.
No one ever came we spent the next day and a half using the bathroom elsewhere because we were so worried that it would overflow. Management called me 1 hour after we checked out and asked if any one ever showed up to fix the bathroom, completely unprofessional
Not to mention, the floors weren't finished in sunroom, and that there were ant traps throughout the rental and ants on the walls. The only saving grace was that we had brought our own fishing boat and the actual location.
Drive way is extremely steep, not one I would attempt in winter.
My advice is to find a different place to stay on the lake, this place is not ready for renters unless you enjoy spending part of your vacation on the phone with management
