The room and bathroom was clean. The fridge was helpful for us. The ambience was not to my liking, but that's just me. May want to consider brighter lights at least in the bathroom (for shaving or putting on makeup). What I found interesting is, despite the air conditioner running while we were there, the moisture level of the unit was high. AC is supposed to bring the moisture level down, which didn't happen.

Close to Airport

We stayed one night at the Candlewood prior to an early morning departure from San Antonio airport. The room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. There is a restaurant across the parking lot so no driving needed. Our only complaint was the highway noise interrupting our sleep but that was the trade-off to be close to the airport. All of the airport hotels are located on the highway so this is not unique to Candelwood. There is a shuttle as well.

The property is very nice and across the parking lot is the Holiday Inn with a bar/restaurant which is great too. Rooms were fantastic! Well equippedkitchen area with a dishwasher. Large bathroom. Clean! Would recommend for a long stay or just overnight on your way to the airport.
