I had asked for the room to be cleaned, which was to include bedding change. The bedding was dirty as we found a toenail (not ours) when we pulled our sheets back in the morning. Bedding was not changed, the bed was made for us. But no clean sheets. The room is entirely too small for a 3 night stay. My husband and I had to walk around eachother single filed in the room. Also having to jump out of the bunk styled bed was not ideal either. There was no ice available, however the staff was kind enough to fill our water bottles for us. One afternoon we went to get a cocktail and the bartender was less than friendly. She ignored us and continued to move some cups around, not even acknowledging we were there.

General cleanliness and theme of the hotel is 5 stars. However, if you are going to have a lobby bar and restaurant don't charge $60 for a drink and nachos with literally 5 pieces of meat in them. Also, don't advertise that you have a rooftop pool and keep it closed the entire time.

The wall to wall window, cool lights, and remote control everything make up for the small spaces. The breakfast is always the best part. The citizenM has become my favorite downtown Austin stay.

The room was very small & cold, no washcloths, no glasses to drink water, floor was not clean, leftover toothpaste in sink from previous guest, very small and had a very sterile feel, did not like using an iPad. No food service in evening unless you sit in the bar area - no thanks. Check-in was not welcoming as it was self-check-in. "Greeter" at check-in not friendly and just assumed that I knew the area and process. Overall, will never stay in this type of lodging again.
