Catalina house

The listing had few pictures, so what the property actually looked like was mostly unknown until we arrived. Finding the house was a problem because there are no numbers on the house. The house was large enough, but the furniture is old, some broken, most in need of cleaning. One bar stool was held together with wire and a dinning room arm chair was missing an arm. Also, the seats of the dinning room chairs have sagged and were hard to set on. The heater was in need of servicing, the thermostat didn't work and we couldn't find a carbon monoxide detector. The upstairs bath door latch wouldn't latch, so any breeze would blow the door open. Several of the windows wouldn't open and a few didn't have screens. We couldn't get the TV to work and batteries were missing from some of the controllers. Overall we had a good time, but it could have been much more enjoyable if things were repaired, cleaned and in correct working order.

Nice clean place, obviously a rental. Owner does not respond to phone calls or email.

The property is nice and in a great location. Only complaint is the owner does not respond to phone calls or email. We had trouble locking the front door which resulted in us not locking it all weekend. It would have been nice to hear from the owner if there was a trick to locking it.
