Stayed in Avon for a visit to Vail for the weekend. The free local bus is a walkable distance from the home and easy to use to get around between Vail and Avon or just around Avon. The host was so kind and accommodating. She was able to allow for early check in and a later check out. She made a fresh breakfast for us that was delicious. It’s unfortunate the facility is for sale, but I hope that they can continue to run the home as is because it is a charming, local stay. The negative reviews are an injustice to the people who own and manage this bed and breakfast. If the style of a bed and breakfast is not your thing, which is more communal gathering and connection, then don’t stay here and expect something else. The host was extremely nice to talk to at breakfast and connect with. The home fit our needs perfectly and was comfortable. I would definitely recommend and stay again for ski season if skiing Vail or Beaver Creek.

We had a great stay for 2 nights. Our room was comfortable though my husband hit his head a couple times on the lowered attic type ceiling! The breakfasts were delicious and Tamara was very helpful finding us ways to get to Vail without driving! Plan to stay again—- maybe for my birthday!!!!

Cook needs to wash hands regularly

Overall, the place was quiet and pretty clean. The owner was very nice. My only real complaint is that the owner is also the cook of breakfast. While cooking, as my wife was eating food she’d cooked, the owner was observed blowing her nose in tissue. After which she continued cooking WITHOUT washing her hands. We didn’t make a fuss but refused to eat anything she cooked from that point on.
