Fantastic ambiance and cozy feel to this hidden gem! Clean and updated rooms, location was perfect! Golfed all day at Prestwick Golf Club, then 15 minute drive to Hotel. Excellent lunch / dinner spot around the corner called the Tudor~ Homecooking at its best! Best Fish & chips, Lasagna and Cottage Pie!

This is a hotel that is staffless, and has no front check in desk. It totally relies on technology for checking in and out, and that is a problem in an area with weak Wi-Fi. I would not stay again. We had a problem when we arrived with not having sheets, pillows, and blankets on a pull out bed gor my granddaughter and it took several hours of trying to contact a live person to get them to come to the "hotel", and fix the issue. Although their advertising says someone can assist you daily until 10pm by phone, we started calling at 4pm with no luck. We had to call their emergency number to get help. Also be aware there is no elevator or any accessibility accommodations on this property.

Great Visit to Ayr

My wife and I visited and stayed 2 nights the room was great, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The access in and out of the hotel was easy and the coded entry made life easier than having to deal with room keys. We ate locally and the easy access to so many restaurants and bars was great.

Weekend stay

We had a great stay over the weekend. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was brilliant. We had dinner in the resteraunt on the friday night and have to say the steak pie was amazing. We will definitely return and will be recommending the Kylestrom Hotel to friends amd family.

This is a modern hotel in an historic house with a fantastic restaurant attached. Not sure if the two are owned by the same group but probably. The check in is all virtual, no hotel staff are on site, and it went smoothly however I did have to step outside to get a decent cellular signal in order to check in. Close to the railway station. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Great Hotel with great facilities and heaps of roo

This Hotel is a 'smart hotel' where you get a code to open the Hotel & the room. The room was huge....2 TV's, a couch, big bed and 2 chairs & table beside the bed. The bathroom was also huge. A spa bath with shower over the bath. 2 basins. This was a great hotel. The restaurant below (not associated with the Hotel as such, was also excellent.

The stay was lovely and so cozy. Only things we have to mention about the stay was the plug in the bath was getting stuck we had to use a card to get it out, the toilet roll holder and shower knob loose also. But other than that it was such a lovely stay and we’d 100% be back and recommend to friends already. Fab!!!

Very odd not having any staff and the telephone helpline staff didn’t not know the hotel or any of its details ie breakfast time. I’m stil not sure about breakfast and never saw any staff so only had the continental choice.
