From Seahouses, boat trips to the National Trust Farne Islands offer the chance to see puffins, seabirds and seals up close, while Bamburgh Dunes and their network of trails invite peaceful strolls closer to home. Further afield, the historic market town of Alnwick is well worth a visit, with its famous castle, beautiful gardens and charming independent shops.
