Positive first: good central location. Stylish but dated. A/C cold (but loud) Negative/Improvement: Most unfriendly welcome I've ever received in Thailand. Staff did not welcome or even make eye contact. Terrible first impression. I also asked for a quiet room in English and Thai but she did not understand. Air con units outside room are enclosed by a wooden frame and the rumbling is like a jet engine. Towels are like a weird material that doesn't absorb the moisture - I had to use hair dryer to dry my body. Provided a kettle but only 2 drinking glasses - pointless. Small room. I was alone with 2 small bags and it was tight. No lift and no help to carry bags. I passed on breakfast as instinct was that it would be poor. Rooms are on top of each other, in the morning before I checked out you can hear the staff clattering around making breakfast and with the hoover cleaning room next door. One night ok. Much better options at similar price point around.

Good budget hotel. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Room v clean. Nice shower/toilet. Excellent location. Great restaurant nearby. Only issue was no one on duty to checkout at midday.

Affordable option near the river

Great value, super charming small guest house rubbing elbows with much more expensive hotels near the river. Nice rooms with balconies. Walk to BTS Skytrain and lots of riverside restaurants. Excellent coffee and massage also nearby. I particularly appreciated the drinking water refill station and the better than expected cooked to order breakfast.

Wonderful and private hostel life

Haus Sathorn is a lovely option for budget stay. The two young people that work there are super friendly and helpful...always with a smile, youthful, and energetic. The rooms are basic, but have all you need...a bed, AC, hot water, and a balcony (no impressive view, but a nice touch to have an outdoor space). The young lady did a load of laundry for us overnight had it ready next morning. The location is wonderful, 2 blocks away from 2 skytrain stations and a riverboat taxi pier. Also cute little cage around the corner and options for food and drink as well.

Great Value

The room had everything that you needed and was great value for the price. The bed was a bit tough, but other than that everything was awesome. The service was perfect, very welcoming, would stay again.
