The place was perfect size for our family of four. The pool table served as great entertainment for the teenagers. It was very clean and we loved the location! The only complaint we have is the level of noise that came from the floor above the master bedroom was so bad that we didn’t sleep well any of the nights. The teenagers stayed in the loft area and we heard every move they made and they weren’t even being loud or rambunctious.

This is our second time staying at Bear Den. The location is amazing and we've loved our time here. The cabin has everything we needed for a long weekend. The wood burning fireplace is a huge plus and while I loved the 70 degree weather last weekend I was a little bummed we couldn't use the fireplace. See you again next year!

Clean, everything we needed for sure. Had issues with tv but they sent out someone and fixed it within a very reasonable timeframe. Nice place to relax over spring break with the kids. Ride up is a bit rough if you get carsick! We solved that by staying put and enjoying the cabin. Bad squeak in master from upstairs when kids are moving around. That’s the only negative. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Getaway Spot

We loved our stay at the Bear Den! The wood burning fireplace, cozy cabin feel, and surrounding area/neighborhood was perfect for 4 adults and an infant. Quiet area, lots of deer sightings, but still convenient to Boone and other amenities! We would definitely stay here again!

Great place w/central location

Great place with a central location to all the local attraction. (Grandfather Mtn/Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk) Comes with everything you may need for a short or extended stay. Our home is in a beach community and we thought the house was a little more secluded than it was, but very quiet neighborhood, great for any type of get away.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It was very clean, cozy, and the perfect size for our family of three. The fireplace made it extra inviting, and we really enjoyed spending time on the porch and playing pool inside. The location was super convenient — close to surrounding areas, with a gas station right at the bottom of the mountain and an amazing coffee shop just down the road (Mountain Dig Coffee — the cinnamon roll was to die for!). Hawksnest tubing was also less than a 3-minute drive from the top of the mountain, which was a huge bonus. The only small suggestions we’d make would be to update the baking sheets and consider offering coffee for guests. Other than that, everything was wonderful and we’d absolutely stay here again!

Great cabin!

We spent a long weekend at Bear Den and it was fantastic! The pictures were an exact representation of the property. Stocked firewood on the front porch was a great addition. We loved the fireplace and had it going all the time. We will most certainly be back. Thank you for a great stay!

Cabin was cozy. Listing was exactly as described. We had a great time. Getting to the skiing mountains was very easy. Location was great. My only feedback would be to ask incoming families for during the holiday season if they celebrate Christmas and put up a tree. We were there during Christmas and would have loved to have a full size lit tree especially with the cozy cabin and fireplace. We wound up purchasing a 4ft one but a traditional one would have been such an amazing touch. Obviously this is above and beyond expectations just a thought. Great stay overall!
