Upon arrival we questioned the amount charged which was double. The front desk man was pleasant but the lady who worked that evening was very rude, we had a balcony room, which we booked, but the noise was awful! Our room was across from the elevator also very loud and the walls were paper thin, the room was the size of a small garage, and so much construction going on, absolutely terrible. And we paid $400 for the first night. The front desk lady said there was a convention going on and that was the going rate, I still question that answer. But I went down to the front desk in the morning and a very pleasant lady named Andrea moved us a much better room far from the noise. There is no hotel bar, no air conditioning and the area is sketchy. Will never stay here again. Do your research when staying in Barcelona.

Hotel is next to bars and what looks like a strip club. We did not get any sleep as people were partying until 7a.m. We complained to the staff it we could get a different room and they could not. Beds are hard. We stayed for 7 days and left exhausted.

I had stayed here once before some years ago and I couldn't remember why I never booked it again. Well, I returned in February this year and remembered immediately. The Hoel is good and clean, staff are super helpful, but you can hear every work of every conversation that is happening on the same flora as your room. Every footstep, doors being opened, every running tap: there is no soundproofing in this hotel. If you want to hear the amorous couple next door going at it all night long, then this is the place for you. If instead you prefer to be able to get to sleep without the Chinese businessman next door keeping you up for hours with his phone calls, then you should probably look elsewhere.
