We booked the EnjoyBCN Colon Apartment specifically because we were traveling with three families and needed three bedrooms with a private bathroom for each. On paper, this apartment was a perfect fit for our group.
Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. We were staying on the 4th floor, and during our stay it rained on and off. There was an active roof leak in the master bathroom, directly above the toilet and sink area. Brown water was dripping from the ceiling. Sitting on the toilet meant water dripping onto the back of your neck, which is obviously unacceptable and unhygienic.
We immediately raised this with management and stated clearly that the bathroom was unusable. Management disagreed and told us it was “totally usable,” which we strongly contest. We did not use the toilet or sink in that bathroom at all for the remainder of our stay due to the conditions.
Given that we paid for a three-bedroom, three-bathroom setup and effectively lost use of one bathroom, we asked for some form of compensation or goodwill gesture. Management absolutely refused, despite the situation.
Bottom line:
The location and size was great, but the lack of accountability and refusal to acknowledge a very real maintenance issue was disappointing. A leaking bathroom with dirty water is not acceptable under any circumstances, especially at this price point. We would not book again and would caution other families or groups to proceed carefully.
