Basic but great location

Hotel basic but was a cheaper option, it was clean and comfortable and staff friendliest I’ve come across, very helpful. Disappointed I’d paid for a city view room but the whole hotel was covered in scaffolding with adverts over top so couldn’t see anything

Room/ hotel was not advertised as a hostel but the room/floor we stayed on was. Small room, temporary AC unit took up most of the floor space. No private toilet, sharing with the whole floor. Construction going on outside the whole hotel. Location was close to bus stop, shopping, la Rambla street.

Seven rooms share two bathrooms. You have to wait in line to go to the bathroom or take a shower. The elevator doesn’t reach my floor. I’m not sure how they call it a hotel.

Hotel Monegal is located at the La Ramblas. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Metro is just few steps away. The hotel staff were very nice and approachable. Happy with my stay.

Solid destination, as it is right by Las Ramblas, so there is access to shopping centers, restaurants, and the metro. The front desk was super nice and welcoming and are willing to give out recommendations for checking out the city. Even though the place is right by las ramblas, the rooms are secure behind thick walls, so I didn’t hear a thing outside. Overall, terrific hospitality!
