No matter the season, no matter the reason, this all-season A-frame is built to deliver. Fish in deep water, read in the cozy loft, go gourmet in the fully-equipped kitchen, grab some floaties and float in the waves the boats make in summer, or sit on the dock and listen to the wildlife in the off-seasons. Two porches off the house and an over-water martini deck provide ample opportunities for taking in the views, and each comfortable, stylish room boasts a sunset view of the water.
We may be biased, but we think this is one of the best spots on the Lake of the Ozarks. We are in the woods, so the place feels private, and the neighbors are quiet, but we're on deep water right across from Coconut's, so we have all the swimming and summer boat-watching we could ever hope for, and are just 20 minutes away from restaurants and groceries.
A grandfathered-in over-the-water martini deck provides a world class sunset-watching spot. She stands on sturdy concrete footings and cedar supports, but her planks are next on our list to replace, so in the meantime, we would ask that guests treat her gently. The martini deck also features a fire pit for your fire-gazing, marshmallow-roasting pleasure, and while there are tree-fall sticks all over the property you should feel free to use, if you want long-burning fires, you may want to bring firelogs.
On our wood-clad swimming dock, we have an easy-access step-ladder into the water, a diving platform, and floating noodles, life jackets and a comfortable under-shade dining table for guests to enjoy the waves from comfortable rocking swivel chairs.
The house has two good-sized bedrooms with queen-sized beds and memory foam mattresses, and a third with a water rower that has an air mattress at the ready for kids or a third couple. The primary bedroom has a smart TV, as does the room with the rower. In a pinch, the loft sofa is also an excellent place to sleep.
