I've been to 2 star hotels that are way better than this 3 star hotel. Generally not a picky hotel stayer, but this place gave bad vibes from the entrance. Took a 150 deposit, which is more than the industry average of 50. A 100 pending deposit thankfully cleared. Unfortunately, the 50 deposit is still pending since 18 March, no idea when it will clear. Seems like shady paying practices to me. Hotel room was much smaller than pictured, also, dirty. I pulled off the bedsheets and found numerous stains. would not come here again.

The fire alarm went off both nights we were there woke us up at 430 the first night and the second night at 630. The elevator was out of order with no heads up about that house cleaning never cleaned the room after Leaving the sign on the door. Kids running around all over the hotel and above our room And the staff were very unfriendly and making jokes about the fire alarm going off and got no form of compensation in all it was a terrible hotel and wouldn’t recommend staying there to anyone.

Liked that there is a pool but it was too cold, kids lips started turning blue so we left back for the room. Room was average, but did like the charging cords attached to the phone. Requested more blankets but was hassled so that was disappointing. Breakfast has no hot items which was super disappointing.

Check in took very long, the elevator wasn’t working. We were on the 3rd floor which wasn’t horrible but not ideal for someone with knee issues. We had an ice storm, had a power failure, was told to sit in the hall for light and socialization by front desk staff. Other hotel members were upset over the noise. Better solution would have been to offer a meeting room with chairs so people could sit in the light. Then there was a fire in the basement at 6am. Once that was all settled, tried to take a shower, the handle pulled off in my hands and the water was full of sediment, and was bright orange. Went to front desk, showed a photo of it and was told that the fire was in the filtration system so it must have been smoke. He must have thought I was really dumb to believe this story! If that was true, there would be smoke and sediments in the sink as well. He said he has no authority to do anything but would have management contact me when they get in, no one ever contacted me.

Rough evening

Check in was fine, elevators were not in service, seemed like they were down for a while. We would have stayed elsewhere due to the volume of luggage we had. Power was out for 8 hours no one’s fault but guests were directed to bring chairs into hallway and entertain themselves there. This went on from 9-11pm when they were finally told to party elsewhere. Fire alarm and evacuation at 0615 again no one’s fault but all in all made for a long sleepless night.

Wasn’t a good weekend stay although not the properties fault. It was during the ice storm so lost power for 10 hours or so. Fire alarm woke me up around 4:00 am Saturday morning. Lots of firefighter action, no fire. When power came back on Sunday morning around 5:00 am that was good, until the fire alarm went off about 45 mins later. Supposedly there was a small fire in the basement. Other than that, super lame breakfast

Very good place to stay in Barrie, right off the Highway 400. Planning to book it again at some point. Won't mind to see better snow removal at the parking lot: had a hard time trying to get out of the parking spot.

Could have been better

False Fire alarms at 430am the first night and 630am the second night were not welcomed. Not to mention the loss of power from 8pm to 6am the second day (which was due to an ice storm) at which I can’t fault the hotel. Plus I was in the top floor and the elevator was broken both days I was there. I got to know the stairs well between fire alarms and daily activities.

I was very disappointed with my stay I rented the king suite for the main reason of enjoying a romantic night with my partner in the jacuzzi tub only to find out when we went to fill the tub the drain pull wouldn’t seal so we could fill the tub I called down to the front desk and I was told oh sorry we know nothing about how to fix that. Then at 4 in the morning the fire alam was going off and the hotel staff member had no idea where the key was for the firefighters to turn it off it was going off for at least 30 minutes. I understand things happen But I was disappointed about not being able to use the only thing I came to the hotel for

Dirty sheets, jacuzzi tub, stained bed sheets, and toilet. The toilet had sanitized tag; when it was opened there was coffee filters, coffee, and tea bags. The elevator was out of service.
