Modern, light-filled and warm throughout, this relaxed coastal residence could not be more central in the charming township of Barwon Heads. Situated in the heart of the action, this 2-storey apartment is tucked quietly away from the main street traffic. Cosmopolitan shops and cafés are just a short 90m stroll away, and you will have your toes in the sand within 450m of the front door! Guests will enjoy 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and open plan living/meals with a private, sunny courtyard.

The Space:
This comfortable apartment is close to everything in 'Old Barwon Heads'. The convenient ‘walk-everywhere’ position has many advantages - leave the car at home while you explore the seaside village, from cafés, shopping and dining, to fishing and watersports. Step out onto Hitchcock Avenue to wander the café’s, deli’s and supermarket, or hire a kayak or stand-up paddleboard on the Barwon River. This picturesque town will inspire you to walk along the shoreline, go surfing at 13th Beach, or play golf at the exclusive Barwon Heads Golf Club.

The private rear townhouse is well presented, and offers relaxed coastal living for short and long stays by the beach. The ground floor entrance leads to open plan living and dining, with a neat kitchen that features a brekky bar, electric oven, gas cooker, dishwasher, coffee pod machine and pantry. Fully stocked crockery, cutlery and cookware, tea, coffee and some pantry essentials are provided.

The living area offers polished timber floors, high ceilings, natural light and a reverse cycle air conditioner. Settle in and watch movies (TV with Netflix connectivity). Easy flow to the outdoor area reveals a paved courtyard, comfy outdoor lounge style table setting with tall private brush fence, an umbrella and BBQ.

Hotel quality sheets and towels are provided, but please BYO beach towels. Upstairs is a parents retreat comprising a living room with a Smart TV (Netflix connectivity) and bean bags for the kids. The master bedroom is appointed with a Queen bed, reverse cycle air conditioning unit, walk-in robe and ensuite (shower, toilet and vanity).

There are two comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor; one has a Queen bed, the other with Twin Single beds for the kids. These rooms share a bathroom with bath, shower, vanity and separate toilet. The laundry (washing machine and clothes dryer) leads to a paved courtyard with clothesline.

Our beach house is within easy walking/riding distance to the main street shops, café’s and supermarket, and the river beach. Off-street parking for one car is available at the end of the driveway, and one car in the single garage.

Barwon Heads is 1 hour 30 mins by car from Melbourne.

Perfect location
The property is perfectly located being only half a block to the shops and eateries of the main street, and only a little bit further to the river beach and bridge. Great to be able to walk everywhere. The house itself is almost new and is quiet, being the rear of two detached townhouses. The cleanliness was excellent, and everything we needed was supplied, along with instructions.

Blissful Barwon
We had a wonderful stay here. So much so, that we booked an extra night! The house is terrific. We were comfortable and had access to all of the mod cons. A two minute walk had us at the main street and a few minutes more had us at the beach river. The teenagers surfed, fished, and generally lazed about. The rest of us switched off from city life and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Really lovely house in a brilliant location- close to everything! We parked our car in the garage and didn’t use it again until we left. House was exactly as photographed online- clean, large, well organised and had all that we needed. Enclosed outdoor area was great for our dog although the weather wasn’t really suitable for us to sit out there. Can imagine in summer it would be brilliant! Barwon heads itself is full of fab cafes, restaurants, clothing and homewares shops, not to mention great walks along the beach.
