If you are visiting Basel the Marthof is the perfect choice. Charm, location, clean, spacious rooms. Close to everything and most tours start from here in the area for convenience or a short 10 min walk. Restaurants galore from all varieties and cultures. The staff is excellent. The breakfast is buffet wonderful. I promise you will love it!

This hotel is exceptional! I really loved my stay here. Our room was really clean and big. The location is conveniently located in the heart of the city. We were able to just walk to to the Christmas market locations in Münsterplatz and Barfusserplatz. The hotel staffs were really nice and very helpful. There is also a very good restaurant on the first level called Bohemia. I would definitely recommend this place.

Not only was our room super clean and comfortable, but the staff truly is the shining star. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and will assist you with any help you need - from finding where your riverboat is docked to helping you with finding but eventually replacing your lost phone.
