Room was very clean and spacious, hotel staff very helpful. If you are staying in the annexes, be aware that there is no elevator, and in our case, we had to climb 3 flights of stairs with luggage (and no assistance). Also, there is no shower, just a tub with a handheld sprayer.

I really wish it had been a better experience. The photos shown are nothing like what we found, and this should be stated on the website, since there are two very different buildings. We had to walk up four flights of stairs because there’s no elevator. The room I booked looked like it hadn’t been maintained in decades. My husband tried adjusting the temperature and the control came off the wall and the humidity smell was strong. We went to reception to request an upgrade because the room was not what we expected. Thankfully, the receptionist helped us move to another building/room, much better than the first one. He even said this “always happens,” and many guests switch buildings for the same reason — meaning it’s a frequent issue. So be careful when booking. As for service: I know English isn’t the main language in the area, but hotel staff should at least know basic English. We speak Spanish and English, and it would’ve helped a lot. The housekeeper assigned to our room was rude. I asked if we could enter since she had just finished cleaning and the floor was still wet. She said “no English” and started speaking French. I politely asked if she spoke English or Spanish, and she shrugged in a dismissive way, ignoring me. The only kind person was the lady in charge of breakfast. Breakfast was very good, and that’s why I’m giving 3 stars instead of 2. They need to improve their service and clearly explain the difference between the hotel and the annex.

The first room we stayed in was in an old building next to the main hotel and faced the main road. It was not double glazed and there was a lot of noise - the description of the room we booked said it was a "sound-proofed room". The decor of the room did not match the photo of the room we booked on the hotels.com website. There was a bedside lamp with no shade. One morning the hot water in the building was not working. The staff were helpful when this happened and moved us to a new room.

Location: Excellent—right on the main square with plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking available at the back of the hotel. Room: We stayed in the main hotel (not the annex), which appears newly renovated. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a quirky bathroom window overlooking the main room. Dining: Breakfast was quite expensive, so we opted to eat elsewhere, though the on-site restaurant is well reviewed and popular. Notes: Great base for exploring Bastogne; would stay again for the location and comfort.

Centrally located in Bastogne with free parking at the rear of the hotel. Staff at the hotel were excellent. The staff in the restaurant couldn't do enough for us - great service. Room was large and comfy. Overall, great place to stay and eat.

The hotel itself was nice enough. The desk staff was nonexistent my entire stay. The area around the hotel is okay, but the building itself has no soundproofing. You hear everyone coming and going.

Absolutely charming restaurant that started out as rail cars. Displays of history without feeling touristy. My room was immaculate and nicely done: excellent shower pressure! I think the hotel was added to what was just the rail cars, maybe perhaps the war may have demolished what was standing, not sure. But I recommend it, and the War museum is minutes away by car.

Terrible nights sleep. The hotel (which is normally quiet) was extremely loud due to the Bastogne Music Marathon which coincided with our visit. Music was playing very loudly directly outside of the hotel until 3am.
