Upon arrival all of the staff we spoke to were fantastic and really engaging. The food at breakfast and dinner was beautifully cooked and the guestroom was a great size and very clean.

The pub is in an excellent spot about 7 mins walks to the park and ride bus into Bath. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent we had an evening meal and breakfast- both were homemade and delicious. My only slight negative was i found the bed very hard, saying thst was husband didn't- not easy to please everyone!

Fabulous location a short drive or park & ride bus from the city centre. Lovely setting and well maintained. Staff were friendly and happy to assist. Food was lovely, with a nice selection for breakfast. Rooms were well designed and spacious, with a lovely private courtyard. Loved being able to have my dog with me and she was even permitted in the bar and breakfast room (not in main area near breakfast bar, which was fine as I had company to watch her). Would stay again 😁

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The **food was excellent** – fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Although several items were unavailable from the menu, what we were able to order arrived promptly and didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, the **customer service felt a bit stretched**. It took around 20 minutes before anyone approached us to take our order or offer drinks, which suggests the team may be **understaffed**. The **room above the pub** was cosy and nicely decorated, though on the **smaller side**. The **bed was very comfortable**, which was a definite plus. However, **cleanliness could be improved** – our white socks quickly turned grey from walking on the floor, and the **shower needed a deep clean**. We also noticed **dust gathering in odd places**, like between the door frame and bathroom. Noise might be a consideration for some – **the road outside is busy**, and traffic noise was noticeable, which might not suit light sleepers. That said, the **location is excellent** for access into town. Overall, if you're looking for great food and a convenient location, this place ticks those boxes, but there are areas – especially cleanliness and staffing – that could use attention. -
