I will be kind and not tell you the hotel I was originally in, but it was horrible. The bath priorit is fantastic! The Spa was an added benefit as are the beautiful gardens! Hotel and staff were amazing from the moment we walked through the door they could not do enough to assist to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, I thought I had booked a twin bed room but was given a double, which was quickly resolved with no fuss, the breakfast was amazing, we did not use the spa but the gardens were also amazing an worth a little wander around.

We arrived late after a stressful journey and the hotel couldn't have been a better antidote. The room service was excellent, the food genuinely good, and the bath alone was worth the trip. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the surroundings were beautiful. We didn't get to experience everything the hotel has to offer, but what we did was enough to make us want to come back and do it properly. A genuinely restorative stay.

Beautiful old building and lovely grounds. However .. no air conditioning and we now know that all classic rooms overlook the car park and main road which meant with the windows open it was too noisy to sleep. Apparently they do have a few portable air conditioning machines that can be reserved in advance - good luck with that! If you are staying in hot weather be prepared to pay significantly more for upgraded rooms/ suites and check the room amenities carefully.
