Don't stay here if you don't like smell of mold or care about the cleanliness of a room. This room smelled so bad like mold that it hit us in the face when we opened the door. The furniture was dusty and sandy. Carpets were gross and microwave door had what looked like spaghetti sauce on it. Very outdated. The hotel owner was not receptive to our phone call the following day. We decided not to stay the night. Left after our affair. Very disappointed. Buyer beware.

Staff was excellent from the time we walked in til our departure. Our room was clean. Would have been nice to have a small couch to sit on in the room. Our view was of the beach was beautiful. And I enjoyed sitting on the balcony with the sun shining and the sounds of the waves.

We had a nice ocean front right on the beach room with a balcony. It was on the third floor. There was no elevator. The rooms are old and could use a thorough makeover. The sliding glass doors on the shower were inoperable. The first room we were in had no waste basket. Also, the first room was next to a barking dog. The staff easily and conveniently moved this to the third floor, where they do not allow dogs. The beds were comfortable, and the linen was nice. there are two other buildings in the complex with partial ocean view and no ocean view. Regardless of all the deficiencies the ocean front room was as advertised and would probably stay here again.

Beautiful place with beautiful views

We were in the ocean spray building and were thrilled that the balconies all angle towards the beach so we were able to see the beach from our room. On the unfortunate side, it was during a tropical storm the weekend of kite fest 2025 so we ended up leaving Sunday morning instead of staying till Monday. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were very clean and large. I will definitely be staying there again

A very clean and good location if you have a broader appoach to where you need to be in the island. A very friendly staff, modern checkin, good parking, and on the beach. If you can get a room off the main building, id recommend that.

This is a fabulous location! The beds are super comfortable and the entire unit with the gorgeous view was very well appointed. The staff couldn't be nicer or mor accomodating! Great location, right on the beach. Easy to get to. As soon as you arrive it's right there. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. I meant to get the young ladies name at the front desk, she is very lovely, friendly, and accommodating. My room was ready when I arrived at 1pm and she also let me check out at noon. I will definitely stay here again.

We love visiting Drifting Sands! Simple no-frills, affordable accommodations … with an outstanding location to beach! Totally worth paying extra for 2nd or 3rd floor Ocean Front with Balcony (note though, those floors in ocean front building are “walk up” accessibilty only (unless I missed elevator; make sure you ask if concerns about that) Beautiful views, feels like being on the beach without getting your feet sandy. Staff is nice, accommodating and efficient.
