We booked a 2 night stay at the Green Dragon in a superior room with a king size bed. When we arrived we found that our booking had been moved without any prior consultation or notice to the White bear pub in Bedale. The room we were given was a small double room with a tiny en-suite. The room door didn’t lock at all. We spoke to the person who checked us in and he said he’d lock it. When we returned the door could still be opened by simply pushing it. We felt uncomfortable leaving our valuables in our room for the entire stay. The door never locked! There was no housekeeping during our 2 day stay. The original booking mentioned a continental breakfast being included. This was not provided during our stay at the White Bear. Overall we would never have booked at the White Bear but were never given a choice. We feel that we overpaid for a better quality room and venue which we did not receive!

Bit disappointed to go down for continental breakfast at 8.15 to find everything locked up. Was told breakfast was between 8 and 930. No one around so had to post keys and parking disc through the front door.
