Gorgeous and traditional room. Extremely helpful staff, Especially Kseniaa who greeted us and gave us appreciated help in navigating Beijing sites. While the large room size and service was good, the fact that the hotel is an older build, temperature control was limited. As it was winter and the heating system was in place, the room was generally too hot and windows could not be opened to cool the room down

This hotel is marketed as 5-star, but the rooms are nowhere close—old furniture, tired decor, and an overall worn-out feel. It’s clear they haven’t been renovated in a long time. If you’re expecting luxury, you’ll be disappointed. That said, the staff was the one saving grace. The service was genuinely excellent—helpful, polite, and clearly trying their best despite the outdated environment. Until the rooms get a serious upgrade, this hotel is riding on its team, not its facilities.
