It was OK, beds comfortable and view from window good - saw a hare! Convenient as located on A1 so easy to find and get to. The breakfast was nice but they didn’t replenish the food so people who were earlier got more of a choice/ selection than those that were later. There should be more consistency. The cooked breakfast was really nice. Smell of smoke in corridor before we got to room, not nice when your a non smoker.

Easy access

Hotel ideally placed on the A1 for access to the many lovely places around. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast Would definitely return if travelling in this area again

Second time staying here . Staff are fab , rooms really comfortable and quiet . Great location to get out and about in the area . Food is restaurant quality . Bonus for us is that it’s so dog friendly . Will return again !

Gem of a find!

We couldn’t fault this cosy lodge. The room was well lit, well furnished and very comfortable. We were here for 3 nights for exploring the area, and the lodge was perfectly situated for this. Breakfast was included, and couldn’t be bettered. We had two evening meals which were really delicious. The staff were wonderful, pleasant and always ready to help. We would certainly recommend this lodge to anyone, you will not be disappointed!

We were visiting Bamburgh, Lindisfarne and Alnwick . Purdy Lodge was ideally positioned and easily accessed from the A1 . Our room faced East towards the coast , was clean , tidy , nicely maintained, comfortable and given the hotels proximity to the A1 incredibly quiet . Bamburgh Castle was visible from our window in the distance. The breakfast was nicely cooked with plenty of choice . We didn’t dine in the Restaurant . The staff deserve a special mention , polite, friendly , helpful and they seemed constantly busy . We wouldn't hesitate to book again .

Purdy Lodge

Purdy Lodge is ideally situated for visiting the stunning coastline and area of Northumberland and the border towns & villages. Although just off the A1, we were never disturbed by the passing traffic. We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our mini break. Breakfast was excellent.
