Breakfast was excellent cereals, fruit juice, toast and jams. 2 sausages, 2 bacon, beans, hash browns and choice of how your eggs cooked. Also ate in the restaurant and cafe both excellent. Room was clean, tea coffee and good shower. Stayed four nights, couldn't fault it. Staff really nice.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Decent 24hr food was great! Tesla charging was very convenient. Great for sight seeing multiple areas. Bedsheets were clean. Highly recommend, good value for money.

Value for money. Yes it’s on the A1 but don’t let that bother you. Inside you can’t hear a thing and all bedrooms are on the opposite side and overlooking the fields to Banburgh Castle and the frame isles lighthouse. The property is in a convenient position to get to many places. Such as the Castle, Holy island, Seahouses and Berwick on Tweed. Good is excellent and the staff are great and friendly. Thanks

Purdy is great for an overnight. Nice food. Only slight negative was the TV in room didn’t tune to show anything, but had good WiFi so we just streamed. In fairness never asked for a fix.

Excellent Place!

Purdy Lodge is in the perfect location for visiting Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses, Alnwick and Edinburgh. The food is excellent. I thoroughly recommend the burger! Breakfast is lovely. Everything seems to be freshly prepared and cooked. The staff are really lovely and friendly. Always a nice smile and welcome. My son and I stayed here during February, half-term week. The room was clean, beds comfy, lovely view, tonnes of hot water. We will certainly stay here again :-) Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Great value

Couldn't fault this hotel in any way. Had a pint of Estrella when I got there and probably the best pint I've had in a long time The room was very clean and comfortable.Wemt down for breakfast at the time booked and was served promptly. Breakfast was excellent although I didn't eat very much as I felt unwell but everything was well cooked and the quality was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will more than likely stay again as I visit the area quite often

Amazing friendly staff, clean dog friendly room. Great bar/restaurant with free breakfast. Brought the dog treats and a sausage. Would go back, great location if going to bamburgh castle.
