The kitchen seats 4 at island bar and enough seating for 8 in dining area. Enjoy total serenity and a glass of wine on my large porch with spectacular wildlife waterviews and Bluetooth sound system. Rear screened in porch with patio dining and seating for 6 with new bbq and Bluetooth sound for entertaining.. Personal chef available so please contact owner for prices and availability

Wedding visit
We booked our visit for our nieces wedding which was cancelled due to storm and flooding, the house and our car did not flood. The house was beautiful, roomy, cozy and very comfortable. Loved the bay views from the front porch. The host greeted us and couldn’t have been any nicer.

Great stay in a great location!
We had a great time at our stay at mainsail cottage. Eileen thinks of all the details including coffee for the morning, a bottle of wine and monogrammed soaps. The home is beautifully decorated and coffee on the front porch was our favorite. It’s about a 15 min easy walk to town (our kids did it multiple times). We hiked at Goose Creek State Park and explored the nearby towns of Bath and Washington. A cinnamon roll from the Mad Batter is a must. We also had a great Mexican meal at el mariachi. I highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to stay in Belhaven.

Slice of heaven in Belhaven!
Eileen is an amazing host. Her home is spotless and has everything and more that I needed. The view on the front porch is absolutely stunning. I loved sitting on her front porch and watching the birds and all the beautiful flowers in her garden. Eileen was very accommodating and always available for any questions. I have stayed in several homes in Belhaven and this is my favorite! You will not be disappointed. Mainsail is an absolute treasure.

Wonderful time in Belhaven!
Eileen is an amazing host. I brought my Mom and her two sisters for a two night trip to the area to visit their old homesites and cottages on Pamlico River and Pungo Creek. The house was perfect for the four of us. Convenient location and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks for the wonderful trip!!

The house was beautiful
There was 5 women that stayed in this stunning house. We all felt like we were at home. There was a nice bottle of wine to greet us. The beds were very comfortable, the house was clean. I loved sitting on the porch and rocked. I could of stayed there all day. The only thing we had a problem with was there was too much in the refrigerator and no room for out food.
