"We enjoyed our stay at Danielle and Craig's place in Bellaire, MI. The accommodations were as described and the house has lovely scenery and quick access to Schuss Mountain trails and hills access. Super close to downtown Bellaire and close to Torch Lake to enjoy in the summer. We had a great girls weekend and would recommend staying here."

"This place was absolutely perfect for a ski weekend for my family. Fantastic location right in the middle of Shanty Creek resort area, but the homes are spread out so it's also very peaceful in a pretty wooded setting. Plenty of beds, super clean bathrooms and linens, and wonderfully cozy fireplace to retreat to after skiing. The kids loved that we had access to the resort pools as well. Will definitely have to come back during golf season!"

"A wonderful family vacation of 3 generations! Danielle was extremely responsive to all of our questions. The place was spotless and very well stocked. Beds were comfortable. There's such a broad range of things to do, including enjoying boating on Intermediate and Torch Lakes, downtown Bellaire and Alden for shopping and Shorts Brewery, and enjoying the indoor and outdoor pools, quiet strolls in the early morning and evening, and ordering in amazing pizza from BC's on our first night after traveling and settling in. The evenings were spent around the coze campfire and game nights."

A very nice, spacious place for a long wknd get away with girlfriends. The communication with the owners was excellent and we had a great time. Check in and out was very easy and lots of supplies for cooking and a BBQ. The deck and fire pit area was perfect for outside relaxing The pool was a little far and only access to one pool location when two was advertised, but it worked out nicely.

This place as beautiful inside and outside. In a fantastic location and even with other cottages around it was quiet and private. The fire ring outside was all of our favorite spot. Having pool access at the resort which had two pools to choose, one inside and one outside. Such a relaxing point and vacation. When we go again we will be staying here. The Blackstone was awesome to use and makes me want to purchase one. The whole cabin was just fun and the kids bunk room was pretty neat. Several golf courses to choose and I recommend the Chief. Is a beautiful course to play. Definitely will go back. The host was great with communication and gave a lot of advice on stuff to do around the area. Thank you for that and making our trip awesome.

This place was perfect for our big group! Had everything we needed to host Thanksgiving together. The kids loved the bunk bed room and the downstairs living room for playing, and the pool was so nice as well and great activity for the kids. Everything was clean and very nice, couldn’t recommend it more! And definitely go to Short’s if you stay here, the beer is great!

Shanty Creek Escape was a great place to stay for our families while skiing the long Presidents’ Day weekend. Our hosts, Danielle and Craig made the experience absolutely seamless. The house is located very close to the ski lifts, tubing, Mancelona and Bellaire. The sleeping arrangements are some of the best we’ve experienced. We comfortably slept 12 with room to spare. We highly recommended booking this home for your next visit to Shanty Creek Resort. Jeanie, from Southern Michigan.

Amazing Experience

We had an incredible experience staying at Danielle's and Craig's property! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a spotless home that exceeded our expectations. The spacious layout provided plenty of room for our family, and the decor was both stylish and comfortable. We particularly loved the fully equipped kitchen, which made meal preparation a breeze, and the outdoor patio, perfect for enjoying morning coffee with a view. The location was ideal, with easy access to local attractions and beautiful beaches just a short drive away. Danielle and Craig were attentive and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Last Minute Ski Weekend

We were lucky to find this gem for a last minute ski trip with our adult children and friends. It accommodated my husband and myself and 12 young adults comfortably. Everyone had a bed to sleep in, and plenty of towels for our showers after a long day of skiing. Danielle and Craig have done a lovely job with updates and all I wanted to do was snuggle on the couch in front of the fire and read a book. The cabin is within minutes of the ski hill and tucked away in a charming community with plenty of privacy. We did not have any major issues, but the little questions I did have were responded to quickly. Thank you Danielle and Craig for being a part in helping us create memories with our children!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very cute and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We were really happy they had a flat top grill, since my mom has an allergy to charcoal, so it was great that we had another option for grilling. I highly recommend staying here. The hosts respond in a timely manner, we were worried due to recent flooding around the state, and they looked into for us to make sure we could get to and from the cabin without any issues.
