We are happy for you to bring your dog or even your own horse to enjoy the trails of Spring Creek Horse Rides.

We loved the secluded location of the property and especially the spa bath that was nicely located within the main area of the cabin. The bed was comfy, we loved the fact that all basic cooking needs were there- oil, salt, tea, coffee and milk. The place was clean and serene, and we didn't realise until the following day that the fireplace was stacked and ready to light! Loved the fireplace too. It wasn't the best weather, so we stayed indoors, but the outdoors looked like a lovely area to explore. The wifi was fast and worked well, we were overall really happy with our stay- it was just what we needed to unwind and relax from our busy lives!!

Love Shack

Thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting/needing a relaxing stay. We loved sitting on the back porch with a glass of wine and taking in the scenery. Take some carrots to feed the horses. Cottage exceptionally clean and well appointed. We look forward to another stay - this time in the cooler months.

Beautiful Rural Property - The Love Shack

My partner and I along with our dog had a lovely short stay at this delightful property. It is secluded and private, set in Bushland and very quiet. The accomodation had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.

Perfect winter getaway!

Despite 24/7 rain and wind for our stay we loved our time here. The woodfire and spa bath made it really comfortable inside and our 1 year old border collie loved exploring the area. Great little touches such as warm fire waiting for us and plenty of dog towels helped us manage the wild conditions. Highly recommend

Gorgeous weekend getaway

Absolutely perfect! We stayed here for the 3rd time and loved it just as much as ever. The property is gorgeous and private. The cabin is warm and cozy. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Great little getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Love Shack. Very peaceful and serene which is what we both needed. Our 2 dogs had an absolute ball there. This is our second time there and we certainly will be back again.

Middle of everwhere bush retreat

Quiet, beautiful bush/rural location.A spacious mudbrick studio, fab ambience and views. Everything you need for a relaxing getaway ot a base to be just a short drive to all that Torquay and Anglesea has to offer.Hosts were so accommadating and great to deal with.

Gorgeous surprise

Arrived in the dark, but thanks to Deb’s directions we found it easily. Loved our stay and so did our two border collies. Watching the horses were amazing and so were the birdlife with no less than 3 different species of owls calling at the same time on the first night. The cottage is cozy, the linen gorgeous and really appreciated the goodies on arrival. Thanks Deb. Hope we can stay here again soon.

Relaxing, tranquil, mesmerising surroundings. Just enjoying the spa, sitting on the verandah listening to the wildlife, watching the horses, sitting around the fire at night, took us far away from our crazy busy lives.

Perfectly secluded getaway for a couple.

Perfect for a weekend getaway for our 34th anniversary. Yummy chocolates from owner. Thank you. Peaceful and private with a lovely Aussie rural view all around. Pet friendly with outdoor lockup if need be. Facilities and furnishings were spot on, especially the spa. Short drive to Torquay, Anglesea. Great dog friendly, leash free beaches. Whites beach, Sunnymead beach and best O Donohues beach. We had a great time.

Cosy house at a beautiful location.

We loved our weekend getaway to the "Love Shack". We liked patting the grazing horses just a few metres away from the back door. The spa was fantastic. The house itself it's cosy and its isolated location is perfect for a getaway from the busy city life.

Peaceful

Lovely quiet bush location, tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the nearby towns in tourist season. Easy 10 -15 min driveaway from everything the coast has to offer. Dog friendly which is an added bonus. Some places the hosts are too in your face, but here you're left to your own means, but know they're on hand if needed. Hope to stay here again, for longer in the near future.

What you see is not what you get

We were really looking forward to a 4 night getaway and left after the 3rd night. The place was dirty. A pair of broken chairs outside our window were removed as a kind of afterthought on our arrival. Outside chairs and table on ‘the deck’ were dirty. Dirty and smudged windows Dusty kitchen chairs (other than where someone had sat) Random used plastic bags left in kitchen draws Cob weds on the wall above the bed and around and above most windows, hanging around the shades. Big grey ones in kitchen. Toilet holder wonky and the bracket fell off the wall. No bench spray provided to properly clean. Smudges on dishes and glasses. Dirt in the drawers. No where to place/hang clothes so had to use the floor Crappy pots & pans. Sticky prints on fridge door. No paper towels provided incase of ANY spills. Dust on the ceiling fans (I’d be reluctant to turn them on) & on all ceiling shades. Inside Fire place not cleaned out. The pull chain on the blind broke. On closer inspection was previously ‘fixed’ with cable ties so we had a darkened room with no ‘view’. Botton of blinds along the rod and on some blinds were grimy. Sink could do with a good scrub to remove stains Dirt and webs in ‘accessible’ space between wall and fridge. It is described as a ‘romantic getaway’ but the place was more depressing.

Fantastic place to celebrate our wedding anniversary

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Love Shack. Perfect location, very peaceful and relaxing. Our two dogs loved the open spaces to run around and play. Enjoyed seeing the horses come and go past the shack each morning and night. They especially loved the juicy carrots we fed them.
