We only stayed one night, thankfully, but were very disappointed. We arrived at the property after a warm afternoon of sightseeing, and were looking forward to a nice swim and a cocktail at the swim up bar. After checking in, there were no staff around, the restaurant was empty, and the bar looked like it had never been open. When we found an employee, they said they did not serve alcohol. They did not seem to serve anything really, and there were signs everywhere about no outside food or drink. Our cabin was nice enough, but was right next to the highway, so very noisy. Would not recommend.

Pros: This property is beautiful and the Hibiscus room was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Cons: We chose this hotel because it had a restaurant and we were unable to get a rental car due to high demand. The restaurant was closed for all meals. When we checked in, we were told there would be breakfast available but the one morning we wanted breakfast, they were not offering it. Note that if you stay here you will absolutely need a car to get around. The taxis into town were quite expensive. I would recommend staying in San Ignacio if you are looking to book excursions into the jungle as most tour operators use that as a jumping off point.

Rose was great she went out of her way to help us get settled in she even came out in the pouring rain to tell us our car lights were on Did not like the low bath sink and low mirror and could not get a to go coffee they did not have take away cups only their china cups

The overall atmosphere of the place was fantastic. It was far enough off the road that it was quiet, and it felt very secluded. The scenery was beautiful. We enjoyed the short walk to the restaurant and pool. We really canā€™t comment on the restaurant as we chose not to eat dinner there, as we were not hungry. So of course, the next morning we were starved. And they still were not open by 730. Iā€™m not sure what time they did finally open. Also, being a coffee, lover, having no coffee pot in my room was a bummer. We finally drove into town to find a cup of coffee and breakfast. The pool was lovely. Perfect temperature.

Rustic and charming

We stayed in the "glamping" cabins, so the rooms are a bit rustic, but they have everything you need, and the staff was very friendly.

The property in itself was great, very beautiful and serene. I loved it. What I did not like was that due to property hosting a wedding the very next day, I had to be inconvenienced as the bar and the kitchen were not open because everyone was busy prepping for the wedding. What does the wedding have to do with me? Why should I be inconvenienced from having a meal and a drink? Kiki Witz hosting an event should not affect any other guests staying there.

This was my second stay here this week. There were very few other guests, and it was quiet and peaceful. David and Criston, the young kitchen and bar employees, made me feel very welcome. They were friendly and attentive, and my food and drinks were top notch.
