Doesn’t look like photos, drove in, no reception just a kiosk. Arrived around 4.00pm room not ready, no one to speak too to find out when it would be ready. No other guests around, didn't look safe so we booked another motel for our stay.

Can't rate staff as i never saw any. Check in is via a touch screen that displays your room number and keypad entry code. There doesnt appear to be any way to clear this info from the screen, unclear how long it is visible for as it was still there when i walked back to my car. The room then has no internal security lock, so anyone with the code can open the door. Felt so unsafe i left and booked a room somewhere else. Not a good option for women travelling alone.

The Elm is good value for money. Its facilities are basic, but it has almost everything that a motel room needs. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the towels were clean and soft. The only aspect of the room that I found lacking was that there was no 'mesh' curtain on the window so during the day the choice was between the blind being down with no daylight coming in, or the blind being up with full visibility from outside into the room.

Last resort ….

Whilst the location was good, - on the outskirts of town, a d easy to check in through an on the wall unit, the property is older in styling. It was clean and the shower worked well. Noisy guests returning throughout the night woke me. The air conditioning unit, though it worked well, was a continuous noise through the night. The light from the TV and AC unit kept the room lit. There was a smell of sewerage coming through in the morning. And guests leaving early were loud and easy to hear. More towels would have been good. Adequate.

Old school motel, but for $99 had everything we needed. Comfy bed, great air-con (it was 40 degrees one of the days), and close to everything. The main road is a bit noisy, but didn't keep us awake. Will stay again.

The property was old and the rooms squishy but they were clean and provided everything we needed for one room. There was however no actual reception area just a computer screen in the outside wall. Half way through checking in in the screen a staff member came and gave me our room code.
