I booked and prepaid my stay at this hotel about a week prior and had it confirmed. When I arrived, they refused to check me in because I was a foreigner. They claimed they aren't licensed to accommodate international/foreign visitors. They argued that they tried to call me, but I could not be reached. I only have an international phone number and it's not able to pick up calls while I'm abroad, but they couldn't have emailed or messaged alternatively? They recommended me another hotel that was basically on the other side of the city... I had a tour pick-up planned for the next day at this location, it would be too far and inconvenient. I had to walk around to look for another hotel nearby. And of course they won't give a refund.
Overall, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel for non-Indian visitors. I believe my experience was a discriminatory act, and I was technically scammed.
