Ivy quaint tiny cabin creekside - Riverside Resort

Summary:

Discover the perfect Ocoee hideaway, Ivy Cabin at Welcome Valley Village, a Timberroot Rustic Retreat.

While small on the inside, this 450-square-foot two-story log cabin makes no concessions when it comes to style and furnishings. Ivy Cabin can sleep up to four in rustic comfort. The cabin is surrounded by woods, giving you near complete privacy as you enjoy the large wrap-around deck and private patio with a vintage cast iron chiminea-style fire pit.

The Space:

Welcome Valley Village consists of six beautiful cabins and three glamping wagons on a 17-acre gated property, surrounded by lush forests, winding trails, and over 900 feet of private riverfront on the world-famous Ocoee River. This property is owned and operated by Timberroot, a small, family-owned business that specializes in creating rustic spaces that allow you to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature.

Our smallest and most affordable cabin, Ivy Cottage, is perfect for that romantic getaway or as a place to unwind for business travelers. Whatever brings you to Welcome Valley Village, the cabin has everything you need to make the most of your time on the Ocoee River.

This picturebook log home is nestled deep in the woods, creating a deep sense of peace and tranquility. Ivy Cottage's large deck wraps around two sides of the cabin and provides ample outdoor living space. The deck features a delightful patio with a table for dining, reclined bench seating, and an antique cast iron chiminea-style fire pit that will keep you toasty warm on those chilly autumn nights.

The Ivy Cottage can comfortably sleep up to four guests. The cabin has one full bath with a shower/tub combination. The downstairs bedroom has a full-size bed. A tilted ladder with handrails leads to the open loft equipped with two twin beds.

A short walk down the wooded path will take you to the riverside deck and pavilion, perfect for swimming, fishing, tubing, or simply enjoying the view.

We are pleased to allow dogs at Ivy Cottage under specific terms and conditions. See our house rules section for more information.

Guest Access:

Your cabin features a lock box at the door for easy, self-service check-in. Your code to the box will arrive as check-in approaches.

Beyond your cabin, Welcome Valley Village is yours to explore. Wander 17 forested acres bordered by the Ocoee River along beautifully landscaped trails and shared common areas. Head down to the riverside dock to swim, fish, or drop in a tube, SUP, or kayak. The Riverside Pavilion is open to all guests except when reserved for private events. We just ask that you be respectful of fellow guests as you enjoy the property.

The Neighborhood:

Welcome Valley Village sits in the heart of Tennessee's Ocoee River corridor — where the Cherokee National Forest meets world-class whitewater. The Ocoee River hosted the 1996 Olympic kayak and canoe events, and today it's one of the best places in the Southeast for rafting, tubing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Beyond the river, there's no shortage of adventure. Hike to Benton Falls, mountain bike the Tanasi and Chilhowee trail systems, go horseback riding through the forest, or soar through the treetops on a zipline course. Parksville Lake is just down the road for swimming, fishing, and boating. For a scenic day trip, drive the Cherohala Skyway or head to the charming twin towns of Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA. Chattanooga and its attractions — Rock City, Ruby Falls, the Tennessee Aquarium — are about an hour away. Out here, the adventure doesn't stop at the front door.

Getting Around:

Welcome Valley Village is located approximately three miles from the town of Benton, Tennessee, and 20 minutes from Cleveland, Tennessee.

Travel in this area typically requires access to an automobile and the property is ideally situated to reach dozens of Tennessee attractions by car.

The property is roughly 20 minutes from the Ocoee Whitewater Center, 50 minutes from Chattanooga, 90 minutes from Knoxville, and 2 hours from both entrances to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge.

Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport is just under an hour from Welcome Valley Village. You can typically reach either Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) or Nashville International Airport (BNA) in under three hours.

Beautiful Property

We stayed one night while visiting some friends staying in a nearby RV park so we didn't get to enjoy the cabin and property as much as we would have liked. The cabin is small but perfect for the 2 of us and had everything we needed. It was clean and charming with a great outdoor area overlooking the creek.

You won't regret it.

Very neat place! Cabins are laid out with plenty of room for privacy. Stream and river, with many added areas and 'easter eggs' laid out around the property. Customer service was excellent.I plan on visiting again!

Cute Little Cabin!

My family stayed one night while traveling through the area. The cabin is very cute and decorated well. The area it is in is nice as well, we’re talking about coming back at a later date to spend more time! The only thing I would change is the mattress in the bedroom, it was sinking in the middle and made it hard to get comfortable.

Cute, Tiny House

This cottage was perfect for 2 people. It also has space for an additional 2 people (children?) in the loft upstairs but there is only one bathroom. The house itself is very small, but it has everything you need. The kitchen has a small fridge, a microwave and a small oven/stove. We rode the Hiwassee Loop on the train and this place met all our needs for an overnight stay. It would also be a great place to stay for a rafting trip on the Ocoee.

Adorable cabin

The guest books go back years & years. Unfortunately all pages were full so we didn't get an opportunity to add a note from our visit. Clean & comfy. My teens loved their loft. Setting & Decor gave us all the right vibes for a cabin getaway. Ocoee River rafting nearby was awesome.
