beautiful house, great location
Corrine was amazing host, house is beautiful, well appointed and ideal for a group of 6 adults or a family with children, great pool and garden. communication with the host was great. the weather was unusually wet and windy for the dordogne in september, but at this property that was no problem, we still used the pool and garden and loved travelling in the area.

Charming Home - Great Location
Well appointed, nicely furnished, very comfortable house right on the Dordogne. Country feel but ten minutes to Bergerac conveniences. We explored west to Bordeaux and east to Domme. So much to see and learn.

Our stay at the “at “Le Gite”
Exceeded our expectations. The Gite was wonderful and had everything needed for a most enjoyable week. We gave the kitchen a real workout and it preformed well. Perfect location close to the city but yet has a country atmosphere. Owners most helpful.

Lovely home from home
We loved the Gite. Corinne and Damien were the perfect hosts, close and on hand to help but never once intrusive a great thing for them to get right and so many owners don’t!
The house itself was in lovely condition, the kitchen is modern and has good appliances and plentiful equipment. The pool was nice and close to the house so easy to keep an eye on the kids whilst relaxing on the terrace. The deck overlooking the river is a lovely spot.
Bergerac is a great little town, plenty of places to eat, drink and enjoy.

Would love to be "along the River" everyday !! it was just PERFECT !
Absolutely do not know where to begin, our stay was perfect in every way!!!
- from the clear communications when booking and pre-arrival advice- we counted on something wonderful - BUT had no idea that it would be as perfect as it was.
Corrine and Damien ( though we did not meet him) have given every consideration as to what their "guests" would need to make them totally "chez soi" and they succeeded 200%
The home is all yours- perfectly set along the side of the calm & beautiful Dordogne, this 18th century farm house has been totally redone and reconfigured. New and luxurious bathrooms and a kitchen that cries out for going to the food market in Bergerac and returning with lots of goodies to prepare. The kitchen lacks nothing - everything you could possibly need.
The grounds are expansive with ping pong table, petanque and badminton all there for you to enjoy !, pool a great plus, and perfectly maintained. Our "spot" was the lovely deck area built alongside the Dordogne- just the place for a glass of wine and some Foie Gras on toast!
We are already considering when to return- it was truly a lovely stay. and Corrine is a jewel- and definitley goes out of her way to make sure your stay at "your home away from home" is PERFECT... and it was !

A wonderful few days which felt like weeks! It was so relaxing...
From the first email to book... Corinne and Damien (our Hosts) were the most helpful you could ever wish for. They have decorated their Gite beautifully and thought of absolutely everything. The Gite was immaculate, the pool was lovely, the decking area overlooking the river is just gorgeous. Bergerac and the surrounding area (vineyards and mediaeval villages) made the stay even more interesting.
We will definitely return - and that is a first...

Fabulous!!
This really is a 5 star property with 5 star hospitality. From arriving to leaving Corrine and Damien went out of their way to make our stay special. Having stayed in many places this really is one of the best properties, beautifully furnished and fully equipped to make your stay perfect. Bergerac is a walk away and is a delight. Lovely market, restaurants and shops. We can not rate this property and our hosts highly enough and we will be returning, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Beautiful Accommodation with fabulous views
Our family stayed at this wonderful Gite (which is more like a villa) in June 2016 for two weeks. The Gite was perfect, beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean, with interesting classic antique furnishings for the most which had a shabby chique feel. The heated pool was a great asset, especially when it was 30 degrees in the sunshine, although there was plenty of shade with trees to sit under or the pergola at the end of the garden looking onto the river with it's lovely views.
The Gite was well equipped with satellite TV in the main room and French channels on the TVs in the bedrooms. DVD player in the children's bedroom.
Lots of facilities for children (and some adults too) in the garden such as table tennis, badminton and a very large trampoline. there are also two bikes in the garage that the owners kindly let us use.
The owners Corrine and Damien were very welcoming and had bought some groceries, fruit and bread on our arrival and also a very kind gift of flowers and champagne for our 30th wedding anniversary. Also Corrine was very kind in taking the time to email me on a daily basis with suggestions of places to visit or letting me know where there was a market etc. on specific days. this was really helpful.
The airport is very convenient and only five minutes away by car, it is a very small airport with limited flights which do not bother you in the Gite at all (only a couple of flights a day).
Bergerac is about a brisk 20 minute walk from the Gite, there is a busy road with no pavement to walk on for part of the walk, which is a little off putting but not too bad. However, by car the town is 5 minutes and there is lots of free parking available. There are many supermarkets nearby, so there is plenty of choice. The Intermarche has a petrol station at the rear where the prices are very good compared to some service stations. Bergerac and the surrounding area is beautiful, lots to see and do. You shouldn't miss a visit to Monbazzilac to visit the Chateau and partake in some wine tasting, by the way you can see the Chateau all lit up from the Gite in the evening it looks wonderful.
Overall I would highly recommend this beautiful Gite for a holiday to anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday in a picturesque environment. We had a wonderful holiday and I'm sure if your reading this and decide to book that you will too.

Fantastic
5 adults stayed in April 2016. From the moment we arrived to meet our wonderful hostess we were thrilled with the gite. The position is incredible, on the banks of the Dordogne. It's quiet and relaxing and the gite has been restored to the highest quality with every thing holiday makers need. Corrine sent us emails daily with activities, like markets in the area etc,. She reserved restaurants for us, and was the perfect hostess. I cannot recu omen this gite highly enough.

Truly an Exceptional Property
This is simply an exceptional property with wonderful hosts. We have stayed in many places using VRBO and this is one of the finest that we have been in. The pictures are accurate to understating how spacious and comfortable everything is. No detail has been left out. The house itself is extremely quiet and private being well set back from the road on a large acreage and set right against the Dordonne River for wonderful views. Corinne and Damien are right next door if needed but given the physical separation of the houses and being so nicely landscaped and fenced you don't even know there are there. The house instruction book is very detailed and helpful for reference both about the house and where to get essentials. The beds are so comfortable and dreamy! Everything was wonderfully new and clean and there are lots of brochures and reference materials for days trips. Corrine sent us a daily text/e-mail to provide suggestions on what is on in the area (e.g. local fresh fish markets) and places to see that aren't as well advertised. We cannot express our thanks for a wonderful time - our only wish is we had dedicated more time here as the Gite and area are so wonderful.
