Bad experience

A very bad experience with a railway next to the window and instead of investing in an elevator and renovating the showers, the hotel is full of poor decoration that pretends to be art.

We had booked two rooms for a 4 night stay but sadly found our rooms separated at opposite ends of the hotel. Our daughter did not feel safe separated from us. We did ask to change rooms but none were available We decided to check out after one night and stayed elsewhere. We had to swallow the costs for the remaining 3 nights. Lesson learned.

Very medicore somewhat abyssmal

The hotel is fairly close to the central train station and is available at a very low price per night. It has an art museum look with paintings and.other works in the hotel. That being said, the accomodations were very poor. The worst part was the room. Although the small bed was clean, the rest was dirty and grimy, especially the walls and carpet. I constantly used sanitizer for my hands. There was a vintage typewriter on the desk. Although it was intended to address the art theme and provide a cool and fashionable setting, it should have been in the lobby so that the desk is free to provide more space for the guest. There are two toilets and three showers down the hall, which were clean. And the staff was very sincere and helpful. The breakfast which I didn't include, was somewhat expensive. Overall, to my disappointment, Arte Luise didn't meet my expectations . Wifi was good though., as was the heating system. Still, I will choose another hotel next time in Berlin.
