We spent 3 nights at the hotel, as a couple sharing a room with a friend, because we wanted to be out of the city for the weekend. It was a 'mystery deal' on wotif, advertised as a 4.5 star hotel, but they crammed us into a small room, with a foldout bed for the 3rd person. Asking for a different, bigger room with a proper bed for our friend, we were told the hotel was full on the friday night & something else would be available the next day. No one from the hotel followed through, and whenever we asked about anything it seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. The front of desk people were friendly & the hotel is nice. The free bikes for use are great. We were looking forward to using the spa pool a lot but it was far too hot & then closed because there was a fault with the temperature control. That was disappointing. So not an overly satisfactory experience. Not terrible. But not especially welcoming & not a place one would recommend.
