Quiet retreat in busy Frierichshain

Everything worked well. Christian was great getting us information and tips. The small patio with table was great. There were also a clothes drying rack as well as lones to hang clothes outside under a tarp. It was near U-bahn 5 for easy commuting. We were there 6 nights so bought an 7-day all transportation pass for sectors AB and on the last day paid for the sector c to get to the airport.The only caution would be if your are quite tall a, the ceilings are low in the loft. I’m 5’9” and had no problem . My daughter is 6’ and slept down on the couch. This wouldn’t have worked if my 6’5” husband had been with us.We had agreat time. Thank you Christian!

Location, location, location

My daughter was abroad for school and I met her at the end of her studies. We spent a week here, using it as our launching point to tour. Easy connection to transportation, great restaurants a couple blocks away and a very quiet neighborhood. It was a perfect space to drop our bags, shower and sleep!

Lovely apartment in the heart of Friedrichshain

This apartment is in a great location, close to public transport (trams, trains). It is also walking distance from supermarkets and many restaurants/cafes/bars, including Boxhagener Platz (15min walk) where there is a nice farmers market on Sundays. The apartment has a heater and very warm bedding. The bed was very comfortable too. There is a nice outdoor table and chairs in the courtyard and a kitchen/stove for cooking. Checkin was very straightforward and Christian was very helpful and quickly responsive to messages.

Perfect Flat and Safe Location

I visited with two daughters. Property is as described and we felt very safe in this area. Transportation systems just a quick walk away. Host was great, answered timely and allowed us to check in early due to flight changes. Flat was clean and comfortable. Happy to be able to cook a couple meals in. We all slept well on the beds and loved the little porch. Having a washing machine was a nice bonus! Looking forward to booking again!

Perfect little apartment!

We visited Berlin for a week and had an amazing stay at this apartment! It was comfortable, clean and cozy - and had everything we needed to make simple foods and relax when needed. The location was perfect, the building was quiet and the neighbourhood has everything you might need. Christian was always responsive as well. Thanks so much for the lovely stay! Friedrichshain - who can complain?

We were visiting our daughter and her family and the location of this apartment was just a few blocks away, so the location was perfect for us. The apartment is comfortable and spacious with the 2nd level bedroom area. Nice to have spices and some basic kitchen supplies available. The weather was cold so we did not use the back patio but in good weather that would be nice. We loved the church bells from next door. Never figured out the coffee-maker and we did not know the refrigerator needed to be turned on. But overall this was a very nice place to stay for a week in a great area with restaurants, bars, and shops.

Wonderful Stay: Perfect Place To Be Near Everything

The property's location is perfect for a quiet place to eat and sleep and read while being within a few minutes of lively streets and public transit reaching all of Berlin. The interior space is used extremely well, and overall the unit feels much larger than it is. I loved it and would book again for my next trip to Berlin. Christian's communications were timely, concise, and on point. When I made a mistake accessing the internet, he promptly and gently pointed out what I'd missed; then it worked. A wonderful stay!

A great stay in Friedrichshain

This was our second time staying in the neighborhood of Friedrichshain in Berlin, and this is the apartment we will want to return to whenever we have the chance to visit our daughter. The apartment itself is a cute studio with the attraction of a living/dining area downstairs and the bedroom in the loft above. It was ideal for my husband and me. There is plenty of storage space (and armoire space) for clothes and incidentals. Everything was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked, but it is important to know that there are only two burners and no oven. There is, however, a microwave. Out the back door, there is a lovely little patio area with a table and benches (and candles!). We enjoyed the warmer part of our stay with beer and cheese out back in the evening. Christian is the most communicative host I’ve ever dealt with on Homeaway/VRBO. He got back to us with answers to all our questions, and he made our arrival very easy. Before visiting Berlin, you need to know where in Berlin you want to stay. The city is enormous, and the different neighborhoods have different characters. This area is loaded with restaurants, bars, and cafés, but the hustle-bustle can be overwhelming if you are staying in the wrong place (like right on Boxhagenerstrasse, which is where we were two years ago). HOWEVER, with this apartment, you get the proximity to great restaurants and cultural diversity without the noise and foot traffic that can accompany them. It is tucked away on a small street in Friedrichshain with only a 5-10 walk from all the hoopla you could want. Finally, location x 3. It is a 5-minute walk to the U-Bahn Frankfurtertor(U5), which takes you right into the center of Berlin. Alexanderplatz is only a few stops away. It is also 5 minutes from the M10 streetcar, which takes you towards the river and right to the East Side Gallery. From there, there are connections to other U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains to other parts of Berlin. It takes you in the other direction up to Mauer Park. There are grocery stores and bakeries in the area. We were so happy with our stay, and you will be, too.
