After several satisfactory days, we came back to the hotel to find that room service had not been provided, despite having left the sign on the door requesting that the room be made up (and for the reader’s interest, we had been leaving tips out for the cleaning staff).
I simply reported the problem and requested some clean towels for the evening. The person at reception simply said that this should not have happened, then looked at me blankly.
The same thing happened the following day. I reported the problem again (to a different reception person), and requested the room be made up asap, which I was assured would happen immediately.
After an hour, I again went to reception, expressed my disappointment (to a third person) that nothing had happened, and requested the room NOT be made up, as my wife needed a rest and I wanted to use the bathroom to clean up after a day out walking.
Three-quarters of an hour later, there was a loud knock on the door, which was then opened and a raised voice saying it was room service. As my wife was trying to sleep, I leapt out of the bath, threw on a towel and went out to explain we no longer wanted room service, as it was too late.
The reception staff only paid lip service to the problems, and clearly did not communicate with the service staff. I was promised material compensation, but absolutely nothing happened.
Such a pity!
The physical suite and facilities were fine, but the management totally incompetent.

Great location

We stayed 6 nights in this large apartment. It had a completely separate lobby area, coat room and living area. The bathroom and bedroom were also spacious. It's big enough to live in permanently!
We noticed the really good quality towels in the bathroom (large, fluffy, white) and sheets on the beds - high thread count which were a cut above most hotels.
The kitchenette only had very basic equipment but we were able to request a toaster - something we miss when travelling.
There is a shared laundry but as it was only open at restricted hours we weren't able to use it.
The rooms were made up each day and on most days we were left fresh organic personal products which we enjoyed using. It was spotlessly clean in quite a posh area of Berlin with beautiful shops, restaurants and supermarkets in our street. The underground train was a 1 minute walk down our street. We never once used a taxi!
The only disappointing aspect of this stay was that the wifi rarely worked - we couldn't even receive or send emails.

Great location, great Hotel.
Hotel had an issue with the EFT terminals on check out not being able to process payments, a small glitch on an otherwise pleasant stay.
