I didn’t give 5 stars to the staff because the dinner waitress acted like it was a waste of her time waiting on a single woman. She was friendly, ran through the specials and was attentive to all the other tables. Everyone else on staff at the Inn, including the breakfast waitress were wonderful and should be commended.

Just a cool, old school kind of inn. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was great. Reminds me of the type of place my mom would've brought me as a kid. We loved watching the hummingbirds and bees in the wildflowers outside of the dining room window as well as the view of the river. Would definitely recommend

Dog friendly riverside retreat.

I stayed in the annex with my dog. The units are a little dated but you are trading modernization for being able to have your dog with you. The room was clean, there is a giant field for dog walking, a coffee machine in the lobby, and the parking is easy. One thing is that you can't bring your dog to breakfast...

This is a quaint, cozy inn. No TVs in the rooms, but there was one in the common room. Beds were very comfortable. AC in the room worked great.On-site restaurant served, delicious, interesting entrées. All staff were friendly, courteous, efficient. The only comment would be that we left very early, so did not experience breakfast; however, we were told that there would be coffee and tea 24 hours, but there was no actual hot water for tea and had to heat in the microwave. Wish we had had more time to stay longer!

This is a lovely inn where you will enjoy a B&B style stay with lovely river views and easy access to all White Mountains attractions. Our room was very cozy with effective AC. We arrived too late for dinner, but there is a full restaurant with a variety of delicious breakfast choices. In our case, it was an ideal halfway rest between Quebec and southern New England. I would not think twice about rebooking!

Reminded me of Grandma's House

The Wayside Inn is located just east of Bethlehem between Rte. 302 and the Ammonoosuc River. I stayed in the main building and felt like I got the nicest room in the place. While it reminded me of my Grandma's House, the internet worked great. If you want modern, this isn't it. If you like historic, old-fashioned, and the best free breakfast. You will like The Wayside Inn.

Rustic, needs better beds, but a gem!

A place to stay to get to the mountains. Very rustic place - common areas are marked by old furniture (reminds me of my grandparents - think 50/60s) which is comforting to me. Room is spacious. Bed is not comfortable at all - that’s the biggest draw back. I like staying here enough and the inn keeper is so nice that I would literallly bring a mattress pad - the bathroom is spacious with a great tub and shower. Breakfast is included which is made to order- so for the price in such a great place to get to the white mountains I would not pass this up.
