Don’t do it!! I stayed here before and thought I’d give it a second chance, big mistake. It’s called a hotel but when I went to bed around 9.30 I couldn’t even hear my tv from the noise at the bar. I called up and spoke to Laura who I asked when does the noise die down. Laura responded with well they’re locals and if you want to escalate it call head office. I knew it was a freehold but still, I asked for the number when Laura told me to google it. As it got louder I called again and Laura told me that we look after the locals and she’s never had a complaint in 2 years. I heard Laura and the regulars be rude about me as it was THAT loud. This hotel needs to decide whether it’s a hotel or a pub. Just don’t do it.

Check in wasn’t the most pleasant experience. It did say the pub would be open until 10 or 11pm. I arrived on a Sunday around 9pm and the door was locked so I called the number on the door and explained and the person just hang up on me and then opened the door and said something that it’s Sunday and they close early. Didn’t have any breakfast so can’t comment on that. Room was what I expected and would like to come back.

The outside of the building is not in the best condition and gives wrong impression. Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. Staff very nice. Free parking, free WiFi. Great for an overnight stay

Stay away!!

Appalling, only thing clean was bedding, boiling water coming from both hot and cold taps, trip hazzard from bathroom to bedroom re carpet away from floor. No kitchen facilities on site although was advertised for breakfast. Cleaning staff friendly and helpful. Apart from when we checked in there was never anyone around at reception so nobody to voice our complaints to. We were booked for a 3 night stay but left very early after one night to move to another hotel., didnt even unpack!! We would not have stayed that one night if we could have booked another hotel but it was bank holiday weekend and everywhere was booked up.

This was a good cheap room. Easy to get to great parking and spacious room. Large bathroom with bath and shower. Short walk to train station and great location for short walk to Bicester village
