Usually a good place to stay. But last night I was kept up until after 11pm due to a loud repetitive banging noise. I rang at 10.30pm and was told they’d investigate. They said it was the pipe cleaning from the bar. And said it would be over in 10mins. It was another 35minutes until finished. I get up at 5.30am so was trying to sleep.
It was really poor.
Staff pleasant on arrival, at the bar and during check out. Room was large and modern, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
I booked this hotel so that I could get an early check in as a VIP member, after a long flight from the US. I arrived 2 hours early and was told that the room was available, but I would have to pay if I wanted to check in an earlier. I did not receive any of the VIP Expedia benefits and had to put up with a very rude receptionist called Hadia in the evening who kept talking over me. I called the reception and was in my pajamas but she told me I needed to go down to see her so I had to change to go down to talk to her. She then continued to talk over me very rudely telling me that I did not get the benefits because I did not ask for them at check in and that now I was not going to get them because I had a bad attitude. The new junior receptionist, Lily Anne should be better trained and understand the Expedia VIP benefits.
